Unscrew the top half of the flash light and pull the bulb straight up, and it's out, Not to mention there's usually a spare bulb in the base of the flashlight under the spring in a piece of foam. unless someone used it already, Line up the two pins and slide it back into the to pin holes on top and with the bottom of the flashlight back on with battery's try the on off switch and make sure it lights up and not have dead battery's, if it lights up throw away the old led and screw on the top of flashlight, If it still don't light check for new battery's.

make sure battery is good. Did you install batteries correctly? flat side (-) in first. Try adjusting the head where it screws on.turn in both directions. Last if this doesn`t work -return it for an exchange where you bought it..

put the first one in positive side toward the light,, and the rest go in the same way, make sure the spring is attached to the base and screw it on, the positive side of the battery is the side with the bump on the end,, if it doesn't work after that ,, in the end cap of the flashlight you should have a extra bulb,, replace that and try it ,, be sure to put the spring back on the end cap

If yours is like all the ones I have had over many years the base cap unscrews by turning counter clockwise. They have a o-ring seal on the cap and some times they can be very tight. The housing is made out of aircraft grade aluminum and I have had one that was cross threaded at the factory and had to use pliers to get the cap off. Thank you.

Hello, don't bang on the mag lite. Take a four inch deck screw and screw it into the battery one a time. Once the batteries are out. Mix up some water and baking soda.paste Take the soda paste and applied inside the tube around the corrosion areas. Rense with water and paste serveral times until the inisde of the tube is cleaan. Remove all components from mag lite be starting this operation. Wipe out with clean cloth and skake until al lwater is removed. GB ....stewbison

They are standard right hand tread. If the battery exploded be careful and clean it thoroughly, as it can corrode even stainless steel.

You could leave the torch in the cupboard near the hot water tank for a few days and the switch might dry out .The contacts have probably corroded at this stage though

Unless the bulb is burned out or you are putting the batteries in wrong there is not much that can go wrong with a flashlight.

1st take off the spring at the bottom to expose the lamp. Then pull it out and replace the burnt out one.

you need the small projecting going into the barrel first this is the positive end,the flat side of the battery is the negative end, all the batteries go in this way positive tip going in toward lamp connection,the cells are marked on the cell itself also

i don't think that switch comes out so easily.... drive a screw into the end of the battery and yank it out...

Unscrew the lens cover and remove the lens and reflector so you can see the top of the batteries. Remove the capoff the bottom of the light and then push the batteries out of the tube
