Bosch 18 in. SRS45E02 / SRS45E08 Exxcel Slim-Line Free-standing Dishwasher - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Why isn't it cleaning dishes?
There are two possible reasons. 1) there is a blockage in the end tip of the top rotary arm. Without water coming out at pressure this will prevent it from spinning. The top arm is attached to the top drawer and it can be removed by unscrewing the plastic retainer in the middle. No tools are required it's just hand tight. If there is blockage you will see it in one the end jets. Just keep flushing it under a running tap and then shaking it out. It is important to make sure that it is completely clear. The next thing is to check that the filter in the base is intact because if it is broken it will other food material to again block the arm. 2) Some modern dishwashers are designed to use less water and so the manufacturers have introduced a diverter valve that sends water to the arms alternating between top and bottom. This diverter valve is a rotary white plastic disc with apertures in it that block and open pressured water flow alternately between the pipes serving the top and bottom arms. On the Bosch,Neff and Siemens the rotary disc has two apertures that are 9mm and 18mm in diameter. This disc rotates about every ten seconds making rhythmic sloshing sound. If the motor has died it can be replaced but it might be expensive and difficult to access if the dishwasher does not have a removable floor panel set in its underside then it might be possible to access and replace the diverter motor assembly. A work around, which I have done on my own machine, is to remove the temporarily flow pipe from the middle of the inside of the dishwasher and use a torch to look down at the valve disc. Generally one or other of the two (see above) apertures in the disc will have stopped in alignment with one of the pipe connectors, the other will be blocked off by the white disc. Drill a 9mm or 3/8" hole in the disc and this will allow enough water flow to cause both arms to spin. There is only about 10mm space beneath the disc so take care just to drill the disc and not it's plastic housing. Remove all the plastic drilling waste otherwise it will be carried by the water to the rotor arms and block the end jets (see 1. Above) and so will require extensive and repeat rinsing.

Shows error 24 on my dishwasher Bosch
Possible causes for the E24 error code:
The drain hose could be blocked
The dishwasher filter may need to be cleaned
Brand new garbage disposal. The installer may have forgotten to remove the 'knockout' plug
After fixing the problem, reset the dishwasher according to the owner's manual

Bosch dishwasher arms not spinning
Hmmmmmmmm. If the water goes in and the pump starts yet there is no washing action I would suspect that you have an impeller failure. The impeller on Bosch dishwashers is a two piece unit and the plastic rivets slowly dissolve until he impeller fails in 2 pieces. The fix is a new impeller which is supplied with a new seal as well. I believe Bosch does this to avoid running so long without renewing the seal and having a leak. I can't think of any other reason to have a dishwasher soluble part for an impeller. It's a bit of a bit** to fix but there are good videos on utube.
