Hello i just bought te netgear wireless g router
Re boot everything from cold. I mean close windows down, shut down. The reboot of boxes is by order,
1 data switches (if you have them).
2 router + modems (could be an "all in one" box).
3 Computers.
In this order the chips chatter before windows boots. This is specialy important after changing computer boxes.
On the cables in your systems a shout of "who is there" and replies of "I'm here" happens between the boxes on your network. Wi-Fi gets to know as well. A lot of network "fixes" happen when you do this, this way. There is a load of "techno babble" as to what is happening in those seconds while everything settles down.

Trying to connect my wireless
Launch a web browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to your
router's network. Type
http://routerlogin.net into your web browser's address bar. The user name is
adminand the default password is password.
Check or set your WiFi password/passphrase. Here then on any wireless device you want to connect.
if you have 2.4 AND 5.8 ghz you have to set the SSID & passphrase on both.

HOW TO RENAME MY ROUTER NETGEAR 30
Log into the Router's ADMIN screen. Enter the router's IP address in your browser -- probably something like 192.168.1.1 GOOGLE the Router Model and "Manual", to learn the default User Name and password for the login. Probably hasn't been changed. Look for the Wi-Fi setup screen and change the SSID -- that's the network name broadcast by the router.
