Check the TV settings. If it is set to AV, no channel selection will be available. If select the input to TV, and check.

Anonymous,

The channel that automatically comes on when you turn the receiver on is the last one you had it on when you last turned it off.

Hi Stephanie, I would be happy to assist you with your issue. Is the Caution Sign a Yellow triangle with a red exclamation point in it? This is normally a sign that the receiver is not connected to the internet. To be able to resolve this issue, we would need to know the model number of the receiver you have so we can walk you through the internet set-up and verify that the connectivity is active. If you would like additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

Hi, I would be happy to assist you with your issue. DISH receivers are equipped with an "Inactivity Standby" feature which will place the receiver in a standby mode if the remote is not used in specified amount of time. The reciever does allow you to set the amount of time or if you would like, you can diaable the feature. This can be accessed by pressing the Menu button on the DISH remote and then select "Preferences" and then "Updates". If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

Hi, the Hopper does have the ability to do Home Media which allows you to watch videos, listen to music, and view photos by sharing them to your TV. You can use this feature with a tablet or Smartphone which is connected to the same home network as the Hopper. Press the menu on your DISH remote and scroll to "Home Media", and introduction will load, select close and then on the next page will list an compatible devices currently connected to your home network. Select on the one you wish to connect with and you will then have access. If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

To change which hopper your Joey is linked to if you go to the Joey and get the remote.
If you press menu, go to settings then to network setup, selected on whole home.
Now on the screen you will see the devices listed use the remote to highlight the correct hopper and press select and then save.

You are receiving IR interference from the fluorescent bulb in your tv heating up.
The best resolution would be to contact dish to confirm if your remote can be switched to UHF or if can get one that will.

You may also try repositioning your box slightly as long as it doesn't require un hooked the cables.

Is there anything that may be blocking the dish such as rain, snow, or tree branches? Also, please make sure all connections from the wall to the receiver are tight. Reset the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10seconds, plug it back in and allow the receiver to power back on by itself. If issue persists please reach me at:[email protected] with your account information for additional assistance.
