Bosch SHY56A02 / SHY56A06 Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher
what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.
Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens
Dishwasher does not spray water
Ok this normally happens when there is a leak in the base
pull it out and remove both side panels
Do you see any water in the base
look on the left side there is a red bar which goes down to the botton lift this up and down you should hear the swich clicking make sure the rod is down then retry it
The micro screen maybe clogged but the main culprit may be the larger filter found inside the unit upon which the spray arm sits. It has sometimes significant calcium type deposits that I nearly completely cut off the water flow.

Link above is how to check, your spray arms, to test.
Water comes into the dishwasher not through the spray arm.
It comes through the water inlet valve out of the hole on the left side of the tub.
The lack of the pressure could be if it is not enough water came into the dishwasher during the fill up time.
Add a 1/2 of gallon of water manually and see how the spray arm spins. If it spins better then the next step is to check the water shut off valve under the sink. Is it open all the way or not?
If it's fine then the problem is the water inlet valve. It could be blocked with hard water deposits or it's not opening all the way. In both cases it has to be replaced.
Bad smell
smell is not the fault of the dishwasher but your waste disposal unit - they stink!
it may be awkward, but arrange your drain so that there is a water barrier. better still. install a standpipe for the drain, again with a water barrier
Bosch Dishwaher shy56a
Certainly sounds like the float is stuck in the over filled position or possible a bad float switch. Could also be a bad water
fill valve - if you can blow air through it when removed then you need to replace it.
You can follow this link to troubleshoot your washer, but note that its not exactly for your model - http://www.thermador.com/replacementparts/main/pdfs/SHU-complete-troubleshooting-guide.pdf
Good luck!
Bosch SHU9915UC/11 dishwasher doesn't start wash cycle after replacing circulating pump?
If the dishwasher is not starting the wash cycle after replacing the circulating pump, it is possible that there is an issue with the control board. You may want to check the wiring connections between the control board and the new pump to make sure they are properly connected. If the connections are correct, you may need to test the control board and its various circuits to see if there is an issue with any of the components. It is also possible that there is a problem with a sensor or switch that is preventing the dishwasher from starting the wash cycle. You may need to consult the dishwasher's user manual or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance.

Bosch dishwasher. When running, can see water flow down overflow channel to pan at bottom of machine.
If you can see water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom of your Bosch dishwasher while it is running, this indicates that there may be a problem with the dishwasher's float switch or water inlet valve.
The float switch is a small device located at the bottom of the dishwasher's tub that is designed to detect the water level inside the dishwasher. If the water level rises too high, the float switch will shut off the water inlet valve to prevent the dishwasher from overflowing. If the float switch is not functioning properly, it may allow water to continue to flow into the dishwasher, resulting in water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom.
Another possible cause of this issue could be a faulty water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is responsible for regulating the flow of water into the dishwasher. If the valve is stuck open or is not functioning properly, it may allow water to continue to flow into the dishwasher, resulting in water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom.
To resolve this issue, you may need to have a professional technician inspect and repair your Bosch dishwasher. They can test the float switch and water inlet valve to determine the cause of the problem and replace any faulty components as needed.

Bosch SHE43M05UC 199 minutes and no water
If your Bosch dishwasher isn't filling with water, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot and fix the problem. First, check to make sure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on. Next, check the inlet hose to see if it is kinked or clogged. If the inlet hose is clear, then the problem may be with the dishwasher itself. Check the float switch to see if it is stuck in the "off" position. If the float switch is stuck, then the dishwasher will not fill with water. Finally, check the fill valve to see if it is defective. If the fill valve is defective, then the dishwasher will not fill with water.
