Bosch Exxcel WFX 2467 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers

Hi,
Most front load units must have two things, door must lock and must sense cold water for rinse. I would check the fill line for the cold water, if clogged with sand, it will not progress through cycle. If the unit doesn't drain it will not spin, is there water left inside the drum area?

Hi.
F17 means that there is poor or no water inlet detected.
From user manual: F17
Turn the tap on fully, check that the supply hose is not kinked/jammed;
clean filter (see page 10 of manual). Also check water pressure is not
too low.
If that does not fix the problem, then inlet valve, pressure from the house and water pressure switch must be tested. The defective part must be replaced.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would advise checking the function of the pump on its own. You will find how to do this near the bottom of my general guidance notes on checking filters and pump motors ;-0)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

I was washing today and
F18 means pump is blocked or broken, clean filter first, no result change then you have to change the pump.
I also had this problem - the machine was full of water and it flashed up F18. I had to drain the water out of the machine using the small pipe located next to the drain filter. There was loads of water to drain out. I used my oven roasting tray which was perfect for the job. Then I undid the screwcap filter. There was a lot of really black water that came out, along with about two pounds worth of coins.
I have F:17 flashing on my washing machine, what
