It is not unusual for the extruder to get clogged, especially when changing filament. the problem occurs when pulling the hot filament out and a tail forms within the filament channel. you can remove the stepper motor and try and pull the filament out. also unscrew the extruder tip and see if it will pull the clog out with it. I use boiling water to clear the extruder head and it works nicely. if it is stuck in the filament tube you may need to pull the filament tube also to clear it out. it is also possible to remove the stepper motor and heat the extruder on preheat and push the tail inside the tube. once this is done you should be able to "Load Filament" normally and once the new color id extruding your good to go.
