RTO Waste King AH-780-UL Quick&Hot Instant Hot Water Dispenser - Tank Only - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Waste king 1001 disposer is jammed and won't
Should be a place on the bottom of the unit to insert a hex or allen key to turn it to break it free... if its jammed. Make sure power is off/ disconnected prior to performing this task.
Water leaking from bottom of
I had the same problem. There is a 2 piece metal tank inside. The top and bottom of the tank are connected with screws & nuts, and there is a rubber o-ring between the two pieces. The grove for this o-ring is very shallow and it doesn't fit tightly, increasing the probability of misalignment during the assembly process. I was unable to fix the leak, IMHO the grove is too shallow and the o-ring is not thick enough. I decided it was poorly designed & trashed the unit.

well the tank is made of brass and copper. That takes away that it is the unit. It sounds like lime buildup. Now what does happen as water goes into the tank and heats up lime will remain in the tank. Then as time goes buy it then starts to get to heavy and relesase itself and then the clog effect it taking place.
the best thing you can do now is reverse flow water into the tank and wash it out, its call beack washing. Yu can buy some products to put in at first to help break it down and then you get ore out.
With the new whole house units they now install a vakve set that has two way valves so you can backwash the tanks and stay ontop of the lime.
You must be asking where does the linme come from, well it starts at the well where the water department gets there water. then it goes into a filtering system and they use a lime to act as the filter agent then it heads out to the system and coats the pipes all along the way. I have cut 16 inch pipe and there was solid inch of lime caked inside.
I tell many people if yuo looking inside the water system yo would never drink the water. You might want to think about getting a whole house filter system to slow down the kime that geets in.
Thanks so much be safe in all that you do.

That center connection uses a clamp. You made no mention of the clamp in the post. Did you get a clamp with that unit? IT is a squeeze clamp and you put it over the inlet tube and connect the tube to the unit and then slide the clamp down to the connection and open the clamp and continue sliding it down over the nipple on the tank and then release it.

If this is a screw thread, then check if nut that comes with toilet flush valve will fit.

Water flow is reduced to a trickle after only 2
Lawrence; there are several potential points that can reduce your water flow. Try these items and let me know. Check hoses under sink for any kinks.......take the aerator off the faucet and run water if trickle is still there then aerator is fine......check the valve that the water comes from and make sure it is turned all the way on. If these do not solve your problem let me know. Thx
Instant hot water dispenser does not heat water.
I had the exact same problem. I even replaced the first unit with a second unit...because I was sure I hooked everything up correctly. Then I called their support line and and felt very stupid. They asked one question "are you plugging in the Quick&Hot into the same electrical outlet as the garbage disposal"?. I said yes..and the garbage disposal works fine (thinking that this indicates a good electrical outlet). She then said "That outlet works off of a switch so no electricity is getting to the Quick&Hot until the disposal is turned on). Gosh darn it...that made total sense. I then tested this out by plugging an extension cord into a different outlet and it worked fine. Boy...do I feel stupid. Hope this helps.

If it is popping the GFI reset on the outlet, there may be a leak inside it. GFI's usually only trip in the presence of water creating a path to ground. It could be just starting to leak and shutting off before enough comes out to see. You could try plugging it in to a normal outlet, but you must BE CAREFUL! If there is a leak, don't touch it or unplug it until you kill the power to it by tripping the breaker, pulling the fuse, or unplugging an extension cored at a safe distance. Obviously, if you have a leak, take the necessary steps to fix it.
Slow leak drips from bottom of 4 year old model
Hi
Please try and remove the cap by turning it clockwise and counter clock wise to remove it. If it doesn't come off then empty the water dispenser and use glue to fix the leak. See this link to see which type of glue should be used---

You can probably repair this by removing the fittings and replacing any plastic compression rings with new ones. Everything else can be cleaned with grade "0000" steel wool. This will get rid of any deposits without damaging the surfaces. ! or @ careful wraps of Teflon Tape to the MALE threads will help get a good seal.
Pilot goes out when dialed back to on
no I dont think you have a mother board. If there wasone it would be in a box of some sort on the top or right near the top mounted on the side.
If you replaced the coupler, I would say the gas valve is bad. Go to you local supply store and get a new valve. you should have 3 connection on the valve, the main gas feed and the main burner and your coupler.
Make sure you turn off the water at the main, drain it all down and when you have all the connection moved get a large channel lock or pipe wrench and turn the valve counter clock wise use tape or dope on the section that goes into the tank and tighten it up, hook up your other pipes and test for gas leak with soap and water.
Make sure when you buy the valve you get a match to the kind of gas you have natural or L P one will not work with the other.
OH check for gas leaks
Best of luck Tom

The pilot is ok.the main burner does not come on
First check and see if the dial on the gas valve is on the ON position. Next turn the thermostat up all the way.if it does not come on then, this sounds crazy, but, tap the gas valve twice lightly with the back end of a screw driver, sometimes a spec of dirt can clog the gas valve and this releases it. if it still doesnt come on, you need a Volt Ohms meter or multi meter, set the meter to millivolts, you want to connect the 2 leads from the meter to the terminals on the gas valve that the 2 wires from the pilot generator, located next to the main burner underneath tank. turn the meter on and the millivolts should read a minimum of 400 milivolts, if lower, replace pilot generator. If still doesnt work, replace gas valve.

Hi, I have an old Atwood gas water heater (model
That is not a model number that sounds familiar. Should be a tag on side of water heater behind cover, outside. If it has the little arm adjustment for temperature on top of gas valve, simply move it over a little to the left to increase water temperature, and try it until temperature is what you are happy with.
I'm assuming when you say it goes out completely that the pilot remains on and water heater re-lights when called for? If you adjust that temperature lever over, and water still doesn't get hot, you need to replace gas control, as thermostat is built in to it.
