Hi jetrad1,

Do you have the engine make and model? Do you have a manual for it?
Here is the manual for your pressure washer: http://www.northerntool.com/downloads/manuals/1577543.pdf

Copy and paste this web address into your browser and the manual will download for you.

The instructions for oil in the pump, if you need that also, are on page 18 and go by the pump make and model.

Please reply back with your engine make and model and I will look that up for you.

Thanks for visiting with fixya.com

There isn't an adjustment for pulling the cleaning solution out faster or slower. It's an automatic function, based on the size of the power washer (meaning it ****s at different rates for different sized washers). Here's a link to the manual for more information:

Hope this helps!

Thermal relief valves sometimes just get old. You can buy them from any number of places. Here is a link to one. Here is a link to another. And another. If this helps please rate this post.

Gasoline goes bad after sitting for an extended period of time.
Old school people would drain the gas out of the tank but found this lead to rust forming in the tank.
Now it is best to fill the tank with high octane gas and use a winterizing fuel additive to prevent problems.
Also remove any water from the hoses.
In the spring replace the gas and change the oil and you should be good, changing the spark plug would also be beneficial.

The oil in the pump is probably leaking because a seal is blown and water is getting into the piston housing. Take a look inside at the oil. It should be brown and translucent. If it is gray, white or milky, you have a blown oil seal. This reservoir should only be 1/3 full of non-detergent oil to begin with. Hope this helps

If it really bogs down to where the engine is struggling....it's the carburetor. It's not allowing the engine the fuel/air ratio it needs for peak performance.

If it is a twist coupler which won't turn, i use a pipe wrench or channel locks. If it's a quick coupler socket and the sleeve won't pull back, the quick coupler plug is bad. If you can't get them apart, both should be replacedTodd Lehkereplaced.
