Northstar Pressure Washer 3000 PSI - Page 3 Questions & Answers
There is water squirting out
If this hole has threads then it might be the soap inlet. If water is shooting out under pressure you may have an obstruction in the hose/handle. Try removing the hose and running the washer and see if the water flows out the connection. If the hose ends up being the problem a visual inspection and cleaning of all inlets and the handle should clear it.
If the water coming out of the hole is low/tap line pressure then I think your bypass *(or unloader) valve is stuck in the bypass position.
A stuck unloader just needs to be unstuck and lightly cleaned. A light coating of silicon grease wouldnt hurt either!
Get the manual for this pump and see how to open/remove the unloader valve.

I can't find my manual and no longer remember what
Does your pressure washer engine have a place to add and check the oil level? If it does. And it looks like the picture from your question. It is a four stroke engine and the fuel doesnt need added oil.
Northstar washers are available online at Central Power Equipment.
You might find an electronic owners manual there.

Hi, I have a qusstion.
the short answer is "no" and I have to ask, why would you want to, if you are thinking that you could use it to provide high pressure air to blow stuff off your deck, it won't work, the pump requires liquid in order to get enough pressure to push the water at high pressure

How do I fix a bad gas problem
If the gas is bad, The gas bowl needs to be removed and drained, it holds gas ready for the carb. disconnect the gas tube going into the bottom or bottom side of the gas tank. once it is drained, replace bowl, connect hose and re-fill. It may take a few tries, priming it first will reduce the pulling time. It shoots new gas straight to the carb.

Can i use karcha hose
Yes. Both brands use M22 (22MM) hose fittings. You will need to check that the Karcher hose is rated to a high enough pressure for your washer, especially if it is a thermoplastic hose as they tend to be rated for 2500 PSI.

Does the machine need an oil change, if so how
i would change the oil every 100 hours or six months in the engine.
and would change the oil in the pump every 12 months.
to change the engine oil, look for a 12mm or 13mm bolt at the base of the motor.
it should be at the front of the engine.undo bolt & drain oil into a container.
tighten bolt up & fill engine with new oil.

Looking for an electric starter
Is this the engine model number or the machine model number? Is the motor already set-up with an electric start or is it something you are looking to add?
