This is for assembling the Breville Wok lid. This has a built in vent that lets steam escape during cooking. There are 8 pieces not including the glass cover: bolt, metal vent, black O ring, tan round plastic piece, black lid piece (has open/close) on it, spring, clear plastic seal, lid handle.Order of assembly as follows, starting on inside of glass cover.1. Bolt.2. Metal vent piece sits on top of bolt.3. Black O ring fits snuggly onto of vent piece.Insert what you have assembled against inside of glass cover, bolt poking through topside of glass.4. Add tan plastic piece with 3 prongs going facedown against the glass hole of cover.5. Larger black lid piece goes next. You will need to line up the openings on tan piece and this lid piece so that it sits semi-flush against glass. When complete this piece will turn in place to open/close vent (less than 1/4 turn before stopping).6. Add clear plastic seal to underside of handle.7. Place spring between handle and top of black lid piece and screw together until snug.Test lid by turning lid piece. It should move back and forth according to the open/close print on top. If no luck, go to step 5 and try again. It is a little tricky, but does work when done correctly.

Error 08 is normally an issue with the magnetron or power supply. Not an easy fix. Call an appliance engineer.

I took a 3/16" common (straight) screwdriver bit from one of my cheap universal driver bit sets, chucked it vertically in my shop vice, mounted a grinding disk in my Dremel tool, and ground a 1/16" wide by 1/16" deep slot in the center of the bit. It worked perfectly. A hacksaw blade carefully placed could produce the same tool.

you can call mfg and see if any repair parts are available, however it may be at the end of its life and time for a new one.

Probably too old for support. A breadmaker is a breadmaker so most recepies and instructions will be similar.

Sounds like the motor has failed. That part doesn't appear to be a spare, and they even charge you $45 for the security screwdriver. I am wondering how you know the heating element is ok when in order to gain access to the terminals in order to check it for continuity, you would have naturally checked the circuit to the element as you dismantled the kettle... It probably isn't the switch but of course it might be... The new fangled disc elements aren't as long lasting as the traditional type and there is probably a thermal fuse buried somewhere inside close to the element. If it is a cordless kettle, perhaps power isn't being delivered to the kettle from the base.

The above is almost right, bu the clear plastic ring goes between the tan piece and the glass. That is step 6 comes just ahead of step 4 but on the same side of the glass. The clear plastic ring holds the tan piece firmly against the glass to keep it from rotating. The inside of the ring goes around the tan piece's three prongs. Note that the inside of the clear ring is not perfectly round the slight indents line up with the prongs.
