My old Boston Acoustics Receptor clock radio sound is getting fuzzy and has lost clarity. Any quick and easy diagnosis and/or fix?

How can I take apart

there should be panels or rubber feet with screws underneath. or the speaker part can come off. that would be where the mesh would be or holes for the sound to escape.

My boston hps12 ho subwoofer blows fuse. what could be wrong

Fuses blow when there is an overload. The most likely cause is a short-circuited semi-conductor IE: a transistor or IC etc. If you find one of these devices inside it with a heat sink on it, that will be the most likely cause. Transistors can be tested with an Ohm Meter and in a short circuit fault such as this, it will be like you have put the two test probes together!
