Inducer blower wheel broke and

I normally would not say this after running my own plbg. htg and a.c. shop for 25 years I always tried to give the competitors the benifit of the doubt. However in this instance I think you need to find a different company cause it sounds like they are ripping you off.Theses motors and squuirrel cage blower usually run about 75-80 dollars and maybe two to three hours on the long side to install. If you are mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. Sorry I'm no more help. Good luck and thank you.

Furnace runs too much thermastat

It sounds as if the furnace is working properly. The thermostat is not calibrated.
It is cold here and my heat runs a lot. If you can live with the numbers being off then don't worry about it.

What would happen if the sensor was cleaned with

No it could NOT. Scratching has nothing to do with the sensor, the sensor is a thermistor, or temperature dependent resistor, a device whose resistance changes uniformly with temperature, they are go-no go devices generally, meaning they either work, or they are broke. in saying that though there are occasions where they can and do display strange symptoms as they break down. The ONLY real way to tell is to replace with a "Know Good", or by using a meter and metering the Ohmic resistance.

My furnace will not start the ignition process

I assume when you say you disconnect the pressure switch you mean you jump the wiring terminals? You say your vent is clean, but what about your combustion air inlet piping? Is it clear. It is not unusual for a furnace to sit over the summer and have the condensate drain trap dry out. This drain will drain the condensation from the blower and discharge to drain. If there is no water in the trap, it can allow air to flow up through the drain, which will cause a drop in the negative pressure. Try "priming" the trap by pouring enough water down drain hose until water comes out by the drain. If that doesn't work check to be sure motor is going full speed and that there are no creatures that have crawled into your inlet piping over the summer.

Furnace lights but fan motor wont start

Hi,
I am assuming that the blower in question is the indoor blower motor and no the inducer fan...

The problem is usually caused by a bad circuit board relay and actually is a very common problem...

To be sure... you can jumper the 110 current directly to the motor and see if it will run...

If it does then ...

Replace the circuit board and you'lll be working again....

Where is the spill limit switch and how can i fix

If you're refering to the flammable vapor sensor, it would be part of the gas valve assembly. See what type of gas valve you have. Look it up on the internet. There are several different methods to reset the flammable vapor sensors. White -Rodgers makes one that has two different methods depending on model.

Certainly wouldn't rule out the blockage as your friend suggests. Perhaps pulling it out, and a flashlight and if necessary a mirror to get a good look in there. May have to head up to top for a look as well. As long as blower sounds like it's running good speed wise.

I have a York 80

Hi,
From what you are saying the circuit board has gone bad... the relay that turns on the power to the inducer must have went bad. You will need to buy a new circuit board and replace the old one. Be sure to make all wires or change them over one by one so that you keep track of where they all go...
This is a very common problem and finding a new circuit board should not be hard.

Good luck!!

Had a no heat call

Make sure there is water in the drain trap. If the drain is "WIDE OPEN" the fan can draw air from the trap and not from outside, and the pressure differential will not be enough. This happens as the trap dries out over the summer, then when you start the furnace, the condensate drain from the fan is dry.On some furnaces this trap is a square box, anyway fill that tubing till you see water running to drain. If you read your manual it should tell you to prime the trap. Position of the switch, shouldn't matter, as it is s diaphragm that the vacuum pulls on to engage the switch. You're probably close to the setting, and by just moving the switch, made it operate.

I have a York P2MPD LP Gas Furnace. During the

I would suspect the air pressure differential switch. It looks like a diaphragm with a piece of tubing running to it and a electric switch mounted on it. Before changing it though, check that the condensate drain trap has water in it. I know that sounds silly, but if there is no water in the trap (if it's desperate from AC trap, then it can dry out in summer) you can be pulling air through the trap, and not enough pressure differential to trip switch. Also be sure the intake is clean outside. If there is any kind of Screen on intake be sure it's open. You can test switch with tester to see if it is the problem. The switch should close after the draft inducer fan starts.

Furnace won't go on.

Hi,
The pressure switch is not working or there is a bit of water in one of the hoses.
What is happening is that the pressure switch will not close when the inducer fan satrts up. This gives the stuck open reading....
Check all of the hoses and the vent piping for water inside and if that all checks out then replace the pressure switch...these do go bad way to often, but they are a saftey device so they make to to be very sensitive...
