Cannot get blade off

try using a pair of mole grips on the screw. If not use a fine cutting disc to put a slot in it or just grind the head off and after removing the blade use the grips to unscrew the bolt from the spindle.

How to replace a makita circular saw guard

Simple, unpug tool. Remove blade and back flange. Remove circlip and lift off guard. Unclip spring. Re-fit new guard. Refit spring and circlip. Refit blade.

It sounds like the switch may be bad. Sometimes a switch will trigger when you just touch it, but at full pull it's worn out. You can check it by putting an ohm meter on the plug and pulling the switch.
