1000 watt Yamaha generator surges when on low setting
YOU PROBABLY HAVE LINKAGE PROBLEMS ON THE CARB IS IT AUTO THROTTLE IF SO YOU MAY ONLY NEED TO ADJUST THE SETTING SCREWS GIVE ME SOME DETAILS LIKE BRAND HORSE POWER CARB BRAND AND MODEL AND I MAY HAVE THE EXACT ANSWER FOR YOU I HAVE ALOT OF SMALL ENGINE RESOURCES FOR SPECS AND DIAGRAMS
My 2 Yamaha ef2000is generators
dirty carby jets. it is not receiving enough fuel thereby needing the choke. remove carby and clean jets thoroughly or simply try removing air filter & squirting carby cleaner into carby throat whilst revving engine several times, this sometimes works enough to solve problem.
How to fix surging on yamaha 2400 generator
If may be a partly blocked main jet ( Check by slowly closing the choke), if it the hunting clears out as you slowly close it it prob blocked main or pilot jet...If the unit hunts (flutter)at 1/4 through 3/4 load, the governor damper spring on the throttle shaft under the stepper motor needs one more turn.. only after you've checker the carby..Only one turn or you will damage the stepper motor....one a few of these....
Rpm surge with intermediate power load
The problem is the governor and is easily fixed. Do the following: Remove back and side panels to expose fuel tank. Insert screwdriver into fuel on/off switch on front panel and remove. Now remove top panel. To do this unscrew fuel cap, pull out fuel spill surround rubber and remove top panel, just pull gently. Now with fuel tank exposed, remove retaining bolts. Gently lift tank and rest on frame. No need to disconnect fuel line.On top of carby is the governor, protected in a black plastic shield. Unscrew the retaining screws that hold it to the carby. Remove electrical connection and then remove governor from carby. Now remove cover by pressing on the three retaining plastic clips and prize upwards. Now the solenoid is exposed. Remove solenoid from its base by unscrewing the two retaining screws. Now that the solenoid is fully exposed use an spray on electrical cleaner that can be used on circuit boards. Spray the base of the solenoid in particular the spindle. Whilst spraying the spindle rotate it a few times until it moves freely. Then replace everthing in reverse order. Where the spindle exits the solenoid dust particles collect and increase the friction between the two surfaces. If you do not want to proceed as outlined tell your dealer it is the solenoid and have it fixed under warranty.
My Yamaha Ef2400iS inverter shuts
yes, the problem is that electronic/electrical components age with use. especially voltage regulators and switching transistors. as they age they can no longer sustain the current you are demandiing from the unit. the units are designed to run in the middle zone, not at full maximum load all the time, if you do that you will weat it out quicker. Always buy a power supply that is double your intended wattage and it will last many years. Hope this answers your question
My EF2400iS surges under low
Idle speed screw may need adjusting slightly to increase idle speed. Also Main jet and Idle mixture Screws may also be out of adjustment
Yamaha ef 2400is starting
The manual contains a schematic which does not show a heat sensor. You need to narrow it down to a fuel or spark problem. The easiest to check is spark. If you do not have spark, it could be the plug, wire, oil level sensor, magneto, coil or TCI module. If you have spark, then it is likely a fuel problem. Open drain and see if fuel is getting to the bowl. If not, check tank, valve and lines. If yes, it must be the carburator. Good luck.
Generator only runs with the Choke all the way
Only a suggestion. Sounds like the carberator has trash in it. You need to try to clean out the carb and check out the gas tank to make sure that that there is no trash in the tank. When opening the choke lever that allows another way for the fuel to get to the engine in order for it to run.
Lost of spark after running for short time.
Are u using the spark plugs that the manufacturer recommends. I can suggest you one thing, you can test the coil when it is cold and it tests okay resistance values okay, but sometime when it is hot the coil shorts, and I have seen this happened check values when the coil is hot. Check resistance for the primary and secondary coil windings and record when coil is cold and when coil is hot
