I have an SIP gasses Handymate .. bought secondhand.

What is the input current, (amperage), draw of the unit? Is the outlet wiring that it is plugged into of sufficient size to supply full power to the unit? For example, if you are in the U.S. and the unit runs on 120 volts, if it draws say, 18 amps but your outlet is wired with 14 gauge wire, The voltage drop under the load of welding, which is nothing more than a dead short, might be below the minimum, operating voltage of the wire feed motor. If my guesses of these values are close or correct, an outlet wired with even 12 gauge wire would be close to the edge of it's limits. If it were my setup, I would have a dedicated outlet wired with at least 10 gauge wire which, at a reasonable length, is good for up to 30 amps. If the outlet that this is plugged into has 2 outlets, plug an AC volt meter that is set to something above your local power into the second outlet at the same location, 120 or 240 VAC. Then weld something while someone watches the meter. If it is 120 volts but drops to 100 or 90 volts or if it's 240 volts but drops to 200 or 190, then your supply wire is too small. Think of it as trying to feed a garden hose with a fire hydrant. This condition will not necessarily blow your circuit breaker either. If it is fused at 15 or 20 amps, 1) You aren't welding long enough to build enough heat to pop the breaker and 2) if this outlet is a fair distance from the fuse / breaker box, it would be a good bet that a lot of the heat needed to pop the breaker is being built up inside the wall in the wire's resistance rather than at the breaker where it is needed. Good luck.

Try reversing the polarity. Looks like you are using a rod for positive electrode and you are using negative electrode or visa versa..

Square wave tig 175 while stick welding it will go to full amps while welding. it does this in any setting. i can hit the side of welder and it will go back to preset setting

Get some spray electronics cleaner and wash the circuit boards well on both sides. Then with a good light look carefully for bad/dry solder joints. Some components may stand up too high off the board and they may wiggle back and forth. Also be watchful of the board edge connectors as the may be the problem of bad connections. Robert

Bobcat miller 225 welder generator

Symptom indicates fuel starvation but it is best to use something to verify the spark keeps sparking as it dies. If the spark is ok and the spark plug colour is fairly normal and not black and wet, indicating flooding or excess oil, it would be wise to assume fuel starvation and clean out the system thoroughly.

Motor runs on high all the time . I am loosing power when I strike an arc.

What make and model is your welder? I don't how familiar you are with the inner workings of the generator and its controls. Depending on the hours, age/generation and make, it may be something simple. I need more information to better help. Does your machine have "Auto Idle"? The machine idles unless you strike an arc? How is the battery for motor? This machine may need to go in for diagnostics and repair. At this point pulling the cover and inspecting fuses, wiring, connections is a good start. Look for something that may be damaged, corroded, chewed, over heated, shorted or frayed.

My Clarke 130en is feeding correctly, but it is spurting and popping like popcorn.

You may not have a good ground or you may need to turn the voltage up for this grade of wire. Check the ground cable at the machine and where the ground wire connects to the ground clamp.

Try cleaning the feed rollers and the groove in the rollers. The liner may also need to be replaced or lubricated. This is also a problem when you need to replace the tip.

Instruction manual for Chicago electric flux welder serial number 3817-37147-2076

First Im'm not a Chicago Machine representative. * check your warranty or ID plate for contact info. * Call for support. *** Following is for information only.*** * Though there is no model number. Most of the info comes up as a 90 amp welder. These welders are very common. They are available under different brands and distributors. They are all from China. * Wire Welder, 90 Amp Flux Chicago Electric Welding - Item#68887; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8GS2IvTlRw * $99 125 amp welder. Worth it? new 90 a. Harbor freight 120v budget welding review; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jp48de9SgI * Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 125 amp Flux Welder Unbox and Setup; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p2Y1MibcsM * Modify #1; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YHWb93-6PU * Modify #2; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj53PbPINZo * Modify #3; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daYD8QGGA8M * Modify #4; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MajBuhmzdkM&t=43s * Modify #5; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6PTNQEwi4E * Okay I know the manual is useless as I have one of the 240V Mig welder. I wish I bought the 110 VAC stick welder. I know it's less power but it's way simpler to use and set up. More fun but really ugly welds. But I get the same result with the Mig but with more hassle. * Here is the manual for yours; https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/68000-68999/68181.pdf * Have fun! Aloha, ukeboy57
