Will not start, no spark seen, do I need a puller

First I would replace the spark plug with a new one. If that does not work, there is a little electronic ignition part that may need to be replaced.
Please let me know what you find.

I have a toro snowblower that quit running last

Hi
I have seen them go through the engine into the muffler. Did you check the valves if it damaged them. I would check for spark first if that is good put a tea spoon full of gas in the spark plug hole and try to start. If it fires you need to clean the carb. If not i would do a compression test that will tell you if the screw damaged anything.

I HAVE TORO SNOW BLW. MO.# 38195 CCR 1000C 3 H.P.

Some have a circuit breaker that cuts out when too much current used when trying to start too much. Usually when it cools, will kick back in. Have you tried disconnecting battery temporarily, if just letting it sit doesn't do it? PS. Sometimes a little shot of WD-40 into carburetor will help start it if it's been sitting quite a while.

I have a 3 yr. old toro, It wont stay running.

You probably have a crack or hole in the primer bulb. Replace it and see if that solves your problem.

I have a toro recycler 6.5 horse front drive. the

As a quick guess (without looking anything up), you might want to look and see if this is:

a. a "direct-drive" (where the wheels are affixed to the drive shafts) or

b. a "gear-drive" (where the wheels are attached to their own spindles, and have "teeth" molded into the inner circumfernce of the wheels, and there are correspondent gears on the ends of the drive-shafts, whish engage the teeth on the wheels), in which case, the problem is quite possibly crud/mud and/or wear on the teeth...

The alternative is, of course... the "transmission" (which often has plastic gears in it...) - but, it's re-buildable... if you can find the parts... and if you can't... then it's replaceable, with a bit of work.

One bit of advice, though... when you're cracking the trannie, make sure that you make careful note of what gear goes where... on my first one, I didn't, and it took me several hours to figure out what went where, after I collected all the parts...

Toro deck mower problem. Why my mower is using excess fuel?

Carburetor may need adjusting. The fuel you use may have an ethyl alcohol content low enough that the gas stations may not be required to post on the pumps. I know most of our fuel in this area has at least 10 percent ethyl alcohol in it. This makes fuel burn cleaner but you also use alot more fuel.

The motion control levers became tight to move and

You may have some bent or out of adjustment linkages, causing the brakes to stay on.
Or the friction nut (one on each transmission) is too tight. These are located just in front of the axel, they go through a slot, the washer behind the nut should turn freely

Lawn mower does not stay powered on. Smoke comes

you didnt say what color smoke it was, but assuming its black, first make sure the air cleaner is clean, if thats ok, the float is probably sticking and a crude way to unblock (if your not comfortable of removing it and cleaning it) is to tap lightly on the float bowl while its running...most times this will unclog it. you can also try car cleaner.

My Toro Mod20070 does note start

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylight through it.) Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. You can also use the Den Tek Brush to clean the jet in carb. if it has one. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
