There is no way to purchase any parts of CARTIER watches online, except on eBay, but you will have to hunt for it and maybe never get. Cartier are fitting their spares themselves only. For that you have to contact Cartier, explain what the problem is, and then send the watch to Cartier. Cartier is located in London. You will find address on internet. Rate me, please.

How much did you pay for it? ... What is the retail price where fine watches are sold? The prices I found were well on the other side of $1,000.00.

Your jewler can tell you in an instant if the timepiece is fake or real ... and he or she will do that for free.

Cartier is not the only company playing this game. Rolex invented the trade in game and now other high end Swiss brands are jumping on board.

Because you need or want the genuine band you have to put up with their game.

Only CARTIER itself will solve it. There is no way you can repair it outside CARTIER. Contact CARTIER and ask what the cost would be. Be prepaired to pay a lot.

Most likely he sent it to Cartier. They charge about $400 to replace a battery. So the jeweler is marking that price up to you. If there is nothing wrong with the movement a new battery installed by a qualified watchmaker is much less.

The price you paid for it, the place where you bought, the documentation that came with it, the quality of the user manual, all these constitute good indications whether it is the Real McCoy (Real McCartier).

Well if its glass you cant polish out the scratches! If that is a real Cartier watch then you need to send back to Cartier for that job. You can take it to an authorized retailer but they are going to mark the cost WAY up!!!!

You will need to call Cartier on this issue and they can adjust it. It will probably be cheaper to buy a replacement band, but it will probably not be real Cartier...

Best way to tell is to open the watch and see who the manufacturer of the mechanism is. I think Cartier would use ETA movements. If it's some cheap plastic, no (0) jewel mechanism then it's fake for sure.

I can't assure you about this. Would you be able to submit all the writings on caseback and pics of your watch? Take pics from face, back and both sides.

where did you buy it from and how much was it?? the number means nothing as the numbers are copied from originals so it is impossible to tell.

That job would best be left to a Watchmaker/ jeweler.
