Coffee maker leaking from bottom

I have had a few of these machines leak.I pulled off the bottom and found Mr Coffee is using low quality tubing that melts or leaks where it attaches to the heater element that boils the water. I replaced the tubes with higher quality silicone tubing that I bought directly out of China on Ebay and the problem was solved.

Delonghi Magnifica taking a long

Hi sounds like the heating element is burning outand only drawing minimal power. There is a thermostat on the boiler which could be a fault, but it usually blows and the machine wont heat. Dazza REPAIRER

The coffee side does not

Inside the coffee maker , you will find a horseshoe shaped aluminum metal water heater. This is the part that transfers the water from the container to the part just above the pot using a plastic tube. the water heats up to a certain amount and 'drips' hot water on to the coffee and into the pot. First disconnect all the electricity and be careful and not be too rough handling the coffee maker in general. You sometimes need special tools to remove the screws because they are not ALL regular Philip head screws. They can be torx or a special torx screwdriver with a hole in the middle. What I do is use my dremel with a grinding bit and remove all the screws if they are not regular head screws. I replace the screws with other regular Philip heads. You have to empty the coffee holder and filter and the water in the coffee maker in order to do this and remove the bottom off the carefully. it is mostly cheap plastic in many brands. Just inside you will see a couple of electronic components that look like a little missile (lol) these things are called thermisters. Their job is to protect the rest of the components from overheating and causing something else to burn. Those are the ones that go bad when your coffee maker goes off like that. everything else is working except those little thermisters Most times coffee are discarded because of hard water buildup inside the horse shoe ( as I will call it from now on) and it will be very slow heating the water because the water can't pass through. I used the thermisters of an old one that I had thrown into the garage about a year before with the clogging problem. took the thermisters off that one and connected them to the one that wouldn't do anything except turn on the little light on. (There are some you can buy online that are switchable thermisters. Which means that they will turn off when or if the heat reaches a certain temperature. Then instead of burning out all together like the cheap ones, they will cool off and turn back on when they cool off. You can find them at ebay from the ebay ID name of Wendell Riseley. He is quick to deliver and even includes his email and phone number if you have any problems. You just replace the missile looking ones with the new ones which are flat with 2 wires ) Please do this on your own I do not want to be responsible for anything going wrong. I am simply informing you. And with that said NOT RESPONSIBLE. I just basically tied the good wired thermisters by over lapping them over the old ones in the coffee maker and made sure it was fairly tight. You can't use solder cause it melts down with the heat generated by the heater. which is a small little ceramic encased thing that is placed to latch unto the horse shoe on it's side. Just be careful to put in the new ones the same direction as the other ones are. Hope this helps you.

Leaking clear water

Mine did the same thing. I took off the bottome cover (you'll need a tamper-proof hex key) The seam on the bottom of the carafe warmer where the water passes though to heat up to make the coffee had a slight hair-line crack. I tried to order part from Delonghi but they said they wouldn't sell it to me because I was not an authorized dealer. (mumbling) I went to a hardware store and bouth a 2-step adhesive. (you need to make certain that it is heat resistant. (mine was 250f) I applied it according to directions and let it cure for 24 hours. Try to force some of the adhesive into the crack.. It has not leaked in over 30 uses. I checked it and found no deterioration of the adhesive so far. Good luck.

It leaks like a sieve

I found that ours would leak if the accuflavor knob is turned to much toward "strong"I moved it to half way between strong and weak and it does not leak anymore.UPDATE 1/2/16: Ours started leaking again and turning the AccuFlavor knob had no effect. However, when I PULLED UP on the lever (towards the ceiling), the leaking stopped and has remained stopped, no matter what setting the lever is turned to.

Help received the Delonghi Cafe

http://www.manualnguide.com/dl/10372/

Go to the above link and download the manual for the BCO 120T

It should provide the basics to get you going

Making a good espresso with steamed milk takes practice

If you don't have the frothing pitchers.. buy a couple in different sizes

Used cold low fat or non fat milk..

It takes practice to get good at it.. a hand on the side of the pitcher to make sure you don't scald the milk.. etc.. you don't want the milk to bubble/boil..

If you have a control valve for the steam pipe.. immerse the pipe about an 1/2 inch or so into the cold milk and slowly open the valve.. until you have it open full. Jostle the pitcher to move the milk around pretty much during most of the process once it begins to warm and foam.. raise the pitcher to heat the milk in the bottom .. then lower it as the foam begins to form...never letting the steam pipe out into the froth. Once done..wipe the pipe clean with a wet cloth.

Grind of the coffee is imporant as well as the roast and when you fill the portafilter don't over tamp.. If you pack it to tightly.. won't brew... too loosely.. brews too fast.. You want to see the coffee shots come out and form what's known as crema... which is a thin layer of tan or light brown foam on top of the shot. If aren't getting this..the coffee is either ground wrong or packed too tight.

It's an art..and nothing beats practice.. there are scores of books and internet threads on how to froth milk and make different coffee drinks..

I love a good Cafe Borgia now and again.. we live in the Portland, Oregon area.. everyone here is addicted to the bean..

Best of Luck

Im trying to fnd the user manuel

You can find your manual on this site:

http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/mytrevo/myTrevo.jsp?page=man

You may need to do a search as I am not sure this link will bring you to the manual. You will need to provide an e-mail address to download.

You could also try going to the DeLonghi site for your country. I checked the USA site but they did not have your model.

Go here: http://www.delonghi.com/

Select your country. Go to Support. Hopefully the site for your country posts product manuals, similar as to the the USA site.

The basket is probably not lined up any longer because of the pressure used to place the filter in the basket. Where you attach the basket to the machine, there are posts on the top and bottom. I had to put a small rubber rod behind the bottom post to make the top come back in line and that stopped the leak.

It could be a problem with the hoses and valves on the inside. When the heating element gets hot it pulls water from the reservoir through the valves. The issue with this is the limited availability of parts for this particular machine.
