Why does The pump runs continuously even with the door open?
Good Afternoon Martin,
I see that you are having trouble with the pump continuously running on your Electrolux dishwasher, model number ESL6114. From this model number, I am showing that this is a European model and questions would need to be directed to the manufacturer in that specific country. I could possibly find a number for you if I can kindly give me the country you live in or the country where your dishwasher was manufactured or purchased. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Electrolux ESL 43010 does not get hot ,and the dishes are not clean any ideas?
Hi - If the unit is not drying nor cleaning properly, there are two main things to check first. Is the incoming water temperature at least 120F (49C)? If not, I strongly suggest that the temperature be adjusted on your water heater. Are you using rinse aid? Use a rinse agent to increase drying performance and using Sanitize or Air Dry Off mode also helps improve drying. If any proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.
All of a sudden it app eras that water isn't
Your spray arm jets are probably clogged.
Depending on the model, the lower spray arm generally has a nut or thumb/butterfly screw (plastic) that you remove and then lift the spray arm off. I always soak mine in hot soapy water and then flush with hot water. If debris such as pieces of paper, bone, peelings are in there, you'll need to take a tweezer or toothpick to remove them from the jets. The upper spray arm usually has the same apparatus and you can follow the same procedure.
I hope these suggestions help your problem. If so please come back to Fixya and rate my advice!
Have ESL6115 Electrolux Dishwasher (Built in).
I have the same problem. The water riser pipe at the back right corner of the machine leaks where the pipe goes through the stainless steel wall of the machine at the top, you can see the end of the pipe from inside the machine as a grey threaded plastic nut. The water runs down the back and collects in the bottom. This only happens when the water is being pumped into the machine to circulate through the washer as the water is under pressure.
The breaker will trip when a leakage to earth or a short circuit is detected caused by the water, my machine has actually been flashing over in one place by the short curcuit caused from the water, the flash over vapourises the water so that when the breaker is reset the machine runs for a while longer before doing the same thing.
The pipe and/or seal needs to be replaced to stop the leak and then it should be ok again. However if water ingress has been a problem for some time other components may be affected. Best have it checked by a pro if this is the case.

Its possible that if you live in a hard water area that limescale buildup is causing this problem if salt levels got low. The first thing that can be done is to run it with 2 or 3 cups of vinegar added & see if it cures it. If it won't accept opening the door to add this after wash has started then add it in a wide dish to catch water & wash it out during cycle. Adding a dose (half cup) of bicarbonate of soda alongside should work even better. This has worked really well for washing machine about to give up on & do regularly to prevent problem. Hope this helps.
