At the back of the vac on top you will have a removable grille. Release the thumb tab to lift the grill.Older models had this tab at the back of the grille. The filters will sit underneath. They should clip into the round exhaust opening. Then replace the grille. Change filters every 6 bags. More often if you have pets or allergies.

Remove the hose and reinstall using the alignment arrow at the top of the hose insert. Be sure the hose clicks securely and does not twist or rotate right or left.
Then remove the power head from the wand and eliminate the wand. Plug the head directly onto the hose and plug the cord into the wire socket under the hose.
Flip the switch on the head fully back and forth to see if the head will run without the wand. If it runs put the wand back in place and inspect electrical connections and plug terminals when reinstalling. Post back with what you see and results
Need to open the electrolux vacum
The locking key on the side of the vac has a tightening wedge on it so it doesn't slide easily. Spray the entire key top and bottom with WD40 or similar. Grasp at the bag door area with vise grips and pull the key straight forward.
If the key will not slide, you will need to take a large flat bladed screwdriver and lay the blade flat at 90 degrees against the back end of the key. then strike the side driving the key forward toward the bag chamber door. Do not twist.
Stopped working, lights work, shows full light
Remove the bag and put in a fresh bag. Then rotate the dial on top of the vac to the middle position. When cleaning fine dust the vac will shut off before the bag is full as it is sensing a clogged bag and cannot sense proper air flow through the bag. If this persists the sensor under teh top dial may be damaged and need to be replaced

The power nozzle is equipped with a automatic shut off if something gets jammed inside it. Try resetting the button on top of the power nozzle after making sure the brush still rotates freely. A broken drive belt may also be the problem. You'll need to open up the power nozzle to check the belt. Pay attention to the screws as you take them out. One of them is shorter and is made to go into a specific slot.
Switch is not working I want to change it but I cannot access it.
THE LONG PLASTIC STRIPS DOWN THE SIDES HAS A TRACK IN IT. YOU MUST OPEN THE DOOR AND PULL (SLIDING) THE STRIPS OFF THE TRACK LONG WAYS AND THE TOP HALF WILL SEPERATE FROM THE BOTTOM HALF. BEWARE THE WIRING INSIDE IS JUST LONG ENOUGH AND CAN DISCONNECT EASY. IM PRETTY SURE YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO GET TO THE BOARD INSIDE.

OPENING CANISTER UP TO SEE IF BEARINGS OR MOTOR IS GONE
You really don't want to get into the vacuum. After you get in, there's not much that you can do other than look. If you really want to get in, there are two strips, one on each side of the cleaner under the rubber bumpers. The strips have to be removed by pulling off the bumper and pull them out the front of the vac. This is not easy. The bearings are not replaceable. If the armature is gone, you can have a armature and bracket kit installed instead of a new motor and save some money. The armature comes with the bearing pressed on the top.
How to reset?
The button I think you are talking about is the bag switch. It is located in the bottom right corner where you put the bag. If the bag does not cover it, the machine will not run.
Also, when the machine cuts off when the bag is full, you have to push the power switch off and back on to reset the full bag switch located in the switch control housing inside the machine.
I am looking to buy a used electrolux vacuum
The Ultralux is the newest of your list. The Olympia has the old type powernozzel that is rectangular. The rest have the new L shaped powernozzel and the brush is longer. As to the performance, the three newer vacuums should be the same. If the vacuums are used and not rebuilt, I would select the Ultralux. The Marquise had a motor issue when they came out and if the motor has not been changed I would stear clear of it. I changed 37 motors in one month under warranty. They did rectify the problem with the later models of the Ultralux.
