If the screen is lit and the screen shows that the belt is moving then it’s the motor controller. If the screen does not show that the belt is moving then it’s the console.
Sounds like a faulty motor starter if equipped or motor it self faulty.

Hey Tyler,
You may need to re-calibrate your treadmill you can check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWDvxTKXem0 it will guide you through it.
if the problem reoccurs after the calibration then you may need to replace the speed sensor... it is usually located next to the drive motor pulley (it is a magnetic pulse speed senor so it should be facing the magnet on the motor pulley) P.S. if the sensor is not lined up this can be the cause of the problem also, so check that it is before replacing.
Hope this help... Enjoy
The cause
of this problem is because your powerboad need big power (Amp) to turn the motor (and the belt) This usually happens if your treadmill belt is
not lubricate well or needs change. So,
first try to lubricate your treadmill belt with silicone oil and be sure that treadmill
deck is clean. If the problem continues you must change your treadmill belt.
Greetings
