Electrolux canister vacuum

Mmm cant find any info on this machine. Did you buy it in CAnada?

However. If you can find where the exhaust filter is, the bit where the air blows out, take off the cover and filter. If there is an exhuast blower it will be here.
I have to say that of late Electrolux have done away with this on most machines

Electrolux Renaissance power nozzle turning on and off, brass pins hot

The deal with the Renny is that it runs off of circuit boards. Usually the problem of the main motor shutting on and off is caused by one of the Triac boards located inside the canister. Another problem could be the thermostat wire located on the inside of your motor itself. It's almost never the thermostat, so the triac board is most likely the issue.

As far as your power nozzle goes, the head eminating from the swivel body is in most cases due to an older design of the power nozzle. I would suggest investing in a new elbow assembly that includes a new swivel body as well as newer style of wiring that is proved to reduce arcing and heat production within the power nozzle.

In some cases, fixing the power nozzle will fix the problems you are experienceing with the main motor as the arcing happening in the power nozzle can in fact turn off your machine. So investing in a new elbow assembly for your power nozzle could in fact solve the problem in its entirety.

Electrolux Guardian canister electrical problem

I believe there is a fused lead inside of the canister. Depending on where you connected your test light, you may have blown this fuse. I don't think you will have much luck finding aftermarket parts for this unit, so you may want to find an Aerus dealer. You can go to Aerusonline.com and use the dealer locater to find the closest store. Good Luck!

My electrolux canister vacuum roller does not spin even though it has power.

When the vacuum is one and the switch for on for the carpet position. There is a small button the the floor attachment which we call the power head. It will b in the place of where the head becomes L shaped its either black or red. Push the button while the machine is on. If it does not work call ur electrolux dealer and have them pick it up. Or call me I'm a dealer and can have UPS pick it up no charge for u 1-866-966-9350.

How to replace the elboe on the power nozzle

wouldnt recommenddoing it urself as it may have warranty. But if u have the head off and the elbow apart im not sure what parts u have. If u have both these taken apart. It is pretty much self explanitory. u need to take the prongs out of the one end. At the other end ot the wires there r two attachements. The end that is at an angle attaches to the reset button which is by the L shaped part. The opther wire attaches either directly to the small motor itself, or to another wire which has a plastic cover on it. The wires that you took the prongs off of the rest along side the little knobby piece and then you wrap them around the middle of the knobby piece. Slide the elbow sleeve over the knobby piece and then turn it so u can bring the ends of the wires out of the little hole in the middle of the elbow sleeve. When the is done attach the two little clips back on the the elbow the one on the inside and the one on the outside at the back of the elbow. reattach the prongs to the ends of the wires put them into the notches about the middle of the elbow sleeve. Reattach the little cover and ur done. If u have the whole assembly. Take p/n cover apart and reattach wires where they r already connected inside the head. Put the head back together. Feel free to give me a call 1-866-966-9350.

Electrolux Canister - Stops working after 1-2 minutes.

Electrolux Canister - Stops working after 1-2...
Our vac works for a short time, then shuts off and makes clicking noise as if trying to restart again. Works after cooling for a while but for another very short time. Your suggestion on fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure
I would advise that it could be a thermal switch or a regular switch that the thermal switch is over heating and needs replacement – there are small hoses in the door section that could have been pinched or kinked and it stopping the air flow from the vacuum – also check for a clogged or plugged vacuum hose, a full vacuum bag or a dirty vacuum filter. Check the thermal switch or reg switch or the hoses in the door. Or feel free to contact your local vacuum dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or call the factory @ the phone number listed below:

RENAISSANCE HOSE/VAC

THE RENAISSANCE IS KNOWN FOR HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CIRCUIT BOARD IN THE HANDLE.YOU'LL NOTICE THAT MODELS THAT CAME AFTER THAT HAD SLIDING SWITCHES. UNFORTUNATELY THE NEW HOSE DESIGN WON'T WORK ON YOUR MACHINE BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT BOARD INSIDE THE MACHINE WAS CHANGED TOO.AERUS MAY OR MAY NOT STILL MAKE THE PARTS YOU NEED. OTHER WISE LOOK ON E-BAY FOR A NEW HOSE.
ELECTROLUX FOOLISHLY REPLACED IT'S FLAGSHIP STEEL MACHINE WITH THIS DESIGN...A FEW YEARS LATER ALL THEY HAD WORTH SELLING WAS THEIR NAME, HENCE THE NEW NAME AERUS.

Hopefully you can fina a replacement, alot of parts for the older Electrolux is No Longer Available.

Unit will not run

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BY "F/C" LIGHT, BUT IF THE MACHINE IS OVER HEATING THE LIGHT LOOKS LIKE A THEMOMETER. IF OVER HEATING IS THE PROBLEM, ONCE THE MACHINE COOLS IT SHOULD WORK AGAIN.

Changed filter and bag. starts then stops

This will happen if the bags are either incorrectly fitted or are non genuine bags that are not within the tollerance, size wise, for the machine.
