Emerson Microwave model #MW8111SS fuse blown
You also may want to take a close look at the control panel. I found a grouping of 3 resistors at approximately center of the board that were cut on one end. Probably a design change poorly done. Somehow, just out of the blue, those loose ends touched and blew that fuse. Removed resistors........problem solved.
I have an Emerson 900W Microwave MW8999SB and it
Pressing the Clear/Pause button works. Sometimes. Most of the time, about a microsecond after pressing Clear/Pause, it goes right back to def1. Most of the time, pressing ANY button doesn't work. Usually takes me 10 to 20 tries to get anything to work. My microwave is about 3 months old. I will never buy Emerson again.
Light bulb replacement
the light bulb is usually in cavity behind the control board.to access that first remove the outer cover of the unit by removing all screw at the back.after removing the cover u will have access to yhe cavity behind the cntrl board and the light bulb.....good luck.
The metal plate on the right had side of oven has a hole burned in it
That's the
waveguide cover (also called a spatter shield) is usually about the
size of a playing card and sometimes held in place by a plastic rivet.If your
waveguide cover
is burned or damaged, it will need to be replaced.It provides critical
protection for the magnetron.It can be fragile, and
the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!
The cover and the metal
