Getting code e24 bad control board or loose wire is there any other fix beside changing control board

I think it means that the washer is not able to drain, therefore it won't spin either. Underneath the washer is a series of outlet hoses and within one of them is a filter. When I finally found the filter it was clogged up with lint, fibers from a pillow and coins. You have to dig the filter out and then clean the filter and rehook up the hoses, this was relatively simple even for me. The washer works perfectly now.

Washer is on pause

First of all, thank you very much Josh for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs. You should just have to push the START / PAUSE button once more to resume your wash cycle.See page 1, paragraph 8 of the Operating Instructions for detailed instructions about using that washer's PAUSE feature. Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Webster/134849600ef.pdf To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual. You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed. You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer. I truly hope that was helpful to you. Good luck and take care. Joe.

Won't spin gets to 6 min. left and shuts off

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter- so many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.

Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
(If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I get the code dr

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I suspect 'dr' stands for Door (error). There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!
