Washer tub/basket is visibly uneven or unbalanced

Check the rubber damper straps ('cables") by hand to make sure they aren't cracked or broken (a light tug on each should suffice). Sometimes it isn't obvious visually, especially if you don't have good lighting. If one strap is bad, replace the entire set. Also inspect the attachment points for the straps to make sure they aren't loose or bent. If you are sure the damper straps are good, then check the suspension under the tub for excess wear or breakage.

Dripping water into tub when not in use.

Sounds like one of the solenoid valves is leaking. These are the parts that the hoses connect to on the washer, they are essentially like electrically operated taps. To replace, simply remove the hoses, undo the wiring to the valve, remove the valve and replace with a new one.

My washing machine will not go through the spin

he lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.Replace with this part. Here is a video to show you how to replace the switch.

Brand new GE washer only 2 yrs. old stops

Probably a bad timer/module control assembly. It works for a short time then the metal contacts get hot and "open up". The timer control mod is what's behind the big knob. About $90.00.

Ge wjrr4170gww will agitate empty but not with

Agitator coupling is usually the problem. Remove agitator (just pull it up hard) and replace the part under it, it costs just a few bucks, part number WH43X10032, Repairclinic.com should have pictures of the part if you enter the part number in the search box.

Good luck!
