You have to go into Change Preferences and click on next until you see Set Units. Select this and make the appropriate changes on all units like Kilometer, Time, Degrees, etc.

Windows 7 is a new operating system, it does not support so many applications, softwares and files, Therefore, not being able to use your tom tom on your windows 7 should not come as a surprise to you as windows 7 does not support so many kind of softwares.
Try your tom tom video converter on another operating system and am very certain it will work there, except if there is a problem with the converter itself. Try it out on windows vista, windows XP etc.
Best regards
My 630 go had espresso
Yes. You can take the back cover off an put rice in the unit. This will soak up all of the moisture. It might be too late. DC voltage produces corrosion very quickly. If the corrosion gets too bad it will eat the soldered connections.
Why is the bluetooth connection failing on my
If you are trying to find the sat-nav from your phone, you need too try the other way from your sat-nav too your phone and hopefully that should work, just make sure both devices have bluetooth enabled and data transfer enabled
Internal memory loss
What you should have done before downloading updates is to always backup your unit to your tomtom home as if there is a problem then it can be reversed, but in your case i think you may have lost your maps, Unless your computer auto saved somewhere, if you have just purchased your unit, try contacting the seller and asking if they could help you, Sorry this is probably not much help, But always backup.
TomTom map of Poland is hopeless. should get a
You will only get a free update on a new device if you install tomtom home on your computer and login withing the first 2-3 months of purchasing your device. Also, if you purchased a device that is "refurbished" or "recertified" then you do not get this free update and your map can be up to about a year and a half old. In this case, you would have to purchase a map update. To update you will have to install TomTom Home on your computer (download from TomTom.com) and login. You can typically purchase one update for about 45 USD or purchase a year of updates for just a little more (like 59.99 USD). A "year of updates" gives you an updated map each quarter for one year. I don't know that I would have bought a TomTom for use outside of North America or the UK. Sorry.
Won't start
Okay, well you need to provide a little more information such as "nothing on screen at all" or screen turns on but won't advance, etc. In any event, your device probably either needs to be charged or needs a "soft reset." To do a soft reset you just use a pen or a paper clip to press the reset button on the bottom of your device to the left of your usb connection. This is basically like restarting a computer and will not change any of your settings or remove anything you've saved.
Product codes for go 630- no maps
You need to contact either the place you bought the device or TomTom... probably the place you bought the device because they gave you a defective one. It should already have a map on it and it should ask you to "update" it when you login to TomTom home.
Phonebook names are not downloaded as on the phone
This is a coding error (problem with the software). There is nothing you can do about this but contact TomTom and complain enough until they get their software gooroos to fix it in the next update. You can attempt to redownload the phonebook but that takes forever if you have a lot of numbers and you will most likely get the same result. Most phones won't even download the phonebook at all so consider yourself lucky. Sorry.
My TomTom GO 630 is frozen on locating a GPS
Mine does this about once every couple of weeks. It just requires a "soft reset." To do this you just take a pin or paper clip and press the reset button located on the bottom of the TomTom Go 630 to the left of where you plug in your charger/usb connector. This is a "soft reset." None of your settings are changed... it's just like rebooting your computer. It just clears your temporary memory (like RAM) so all it would possibly lose is your current route if you had just set one. You probably can't since yours is frozen but DO NOT go through your device menu screens and "reset to default" because you will lose all of your settings and saved locations that way.
For god sakes someone help!!!!!!
The order in which you turn on the two devices seems to make a difference.
This is a common problem with the LG when trying to connect to many other devices, not just the TomTom.
How do I change language on tom tom?

From the main menu, touch Change Preferences.
Scroll through the Preferences screens until you reach Change Language (the icon is a bunch of national flags). Tap it, then choose your language.
