My 2797 requires a 2amp USB charger to charge as the battery monitoring software identifies the source is inadequate and keeps saying use the cable supplied with it. Could be the same prob. Kevin H

you shoudl be able to get these on your MyGarmin account page under maps http://www.mygarmin.com/ or call Garmin Support and they can take a look at why the maps and see why they are locked http://www.garmin.com/us/support/ . f you have lifetime updates just run the update again and this time let it work overnight. It may be that the maps didn't get on their correctly. Also try formatting the SD card NOT THE DEVICE and try the update again.

Looks like you can go to the setting and check the volume control. Some models with the + /- button at the side, just keep pushing the + button, the mute function would be off.

You can connect to your computer with a usb cable until it is fully charged. And remember to turn it off after use each time in car. And actually, if you use it in your car and is always connect with the 12V DC, it is really not a matter it is fully charge or not. It still functioning well.
