On my Nextar GPS X11-15302.
First connect the GPS to your computer using the cable that came with it. Then see if it gets charged from computer and stops giving the problem. If it does work fine, then you know that car charger has issues or the car plug isnt giving right output.
Since the operating system and navigation software are preloaded into the internal flash memory of the GPS, the error may either be software or hardware failure.
First, press the "Reset" button or push the stylus into the "Reset" hole, to see if the navigation software can load successfully.
If the program still does not load, then the software may be corrupted. Also, if the internal memory fails to read or write and the software cannot load properly, it may be caused by hardware failure.
In either case, please return the unit for exchange or repair to the retail location from which you purchased it.

I purchased a Q4 unit
the warranty period of this GPS is 12 months parts and labor, but don't wait to send it back for warranty, they will not honor it if you go even a few days over, contact Nextar customer service ASAP for a warranty return label, the number is in your user guide, YOU MUST HAVE A WARRANTY RETURN AUTHORIZATION LABEL TO SEND PHONE IN FOR WARRANTY SERVICE.

How do i get music on my nextar gps
You did not include the model. But most have SD cards so put your music on one and insert it to play DO NOT put music on your map card as it may become corrupted.You cannot play music at the same time as using the maps anyway.

Can you put in a SB card in your computer and up
That's exactly how you add maps to a newer GPS.
You copy the map and other data files (depends on make and model what you have to copy) onto the SD card and insert into the slot on the GPS unit. Then you go into the utility menu and select your new map.
Other than check to see if you need to have the files in a certain folder name or directory it is that easy.
Usually you will have a map utility on your computer that will load the map or when you plug in a usb cable the GPS and the SD card are seen as two removable drives.

My Nextar GPS doesn't hold a charge and I'm not
Your battery most likely has cell dammage, this prevents the battery from holding any acceptable charge. You can take the device to a batteries plus and they might be able to refresh the battery to hold an charge, if under a year, send back to the manufacturer. Since you did not provide a model number there are different ways to update the GPS, here is the company support site.

Would like to update my
To update your GPS go to the Nextat web site, click on support/downloads and check for any releases of new firmware, you will need to register your GPS and most likely download a tool to install any new update, you will also need a USB to mini USB adapter cable (avail on Ebay for a few bucks) to hook it up to your PC for the update to download to your GPS.
