Please follow the below steps,
Insert a DVD wait until you hear the sound, press stop twice on the remote then enter 26604 then ENTER and it should work. If not they have changed it, by the way you have to ground the park brake wire to a ground even on the stereo ground harness.

You don't have to, it will just store more maps if you do. It is NOT necessary for normal operation.

here is what you need to do is, get a toggle switch and hook one side to a ground and the other side to the parking brake wire on the unit.
use the switch as a brake because you have to set brake for a few seconds then release and set again but keep it on this time.
you will have to do this every time you start the car.
