My ewf1087 has the tub locked, as if an emergency

You have something jammed in the tub cavity - like a sock, or pants etc. Caused by overloading the machine. You will find it very difficult to remove, as the gap is very narrow. If you are lucky, you may see it jammed up the side of the door seal, but may need to dismantle the machine to get it out. If its a nail or screw stuck, its probably wrecked the machines tub or heater. Try removing the water heater and looking inside carefully with a torch - sometimes you can remove obstructions with a long piece of wire with a hook on - maybe! lol Or try removing the door seal - but good luck getting it back on again!!! very difficult unless you have tried this before.

Where is the drain pump on a Electrolux front load washer

Good Morning Friend, I understand that you want to know where the drain pump is located on your Electrolux washer, model# AWF 1435. In researching the model number you provided, I show that this was manufactured in France. I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly, for further assistance. They should be able to tell you where the drain pump is located in your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Electrolux washing machine has pool of water

Hi - I would recommend checking for a restriction in the drain line. You will need to follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the washer

2. Pull the washer out to tilt it back so you can

reach the screws below the front panel and

remove it. (You will need something to catch

the water once the hose is removed from

the bottom of washer)

3. Loosen the bolt with the sliver clamp on the

bottom of the washer. The water will begin to

come out while you're loosening the clamp. (Do

not remove any GREEN clamps)

4. Once the water is out, you can stick your hand

inside the hose to clean it out.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Methinks you could do with a manual for your washer- for now and probably later!
Sorry but FixYa cannot do that direct- members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I am replacing the bearings, but I cant get the

some machines had a left hamd thread on the drum shaft. you would need to turn this clockwise to undo it. look carefully at teh thread you can see to find out which way it goes.

once you can see which way to turn it to undo, you may have to tap the spanner sharply with a hammer to free the nut. you will probably find that the belt pulley is threaded and will have to be unscrewed as well

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry, I do not know your particular machine BUT here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
