What does "HC" mean?

The HC code indicates that the computer thinks the cold water inlet is getting hot water. The hot water inlet has the cold water coming in. Take off the inlet hoses and double check your water lines. If needed, swap the connections. While you have the hoses off, clear the filters and check for leaks. Check the flow rate and replace the hoses if the water flow is restricted. (Anti-burst hoses can reduce the flow when they detect a leak.) If the hot water supply is correctly connected to the hot water inlet, then the electronic control board is getting faulty information. Unplug the washer for several minutes. If the code repeats, then the valve may be faulty. Alternative causes of the problem are the hoses, the wiring or the control board. I hope this helps. Has anyone had the glass top just popped off and is this a common problem?

Yes you would have to open the top cover and tilt it back to be able to get to the lid holder that breaks. Holders are at each end of lid. Labor will cost you if you call a repair company to replace those little weak holders. You may be able to do it your self. Good luck.

Used it yesterday, fine today. Pushed power, fine. Pushed start, why nothing?

Hello. I will take you through some basic troubleshooting. Being plugged in, display working, choices made, does the machine do anything after the start button is pressed? Examples include locking the lid, starting to fill with water, etc. Did you notice any error codes that popped up in the display? If nothing is happening after pressing start, and there aren't any error codes that have been displayed, the problem could be with the control panel. First, unplug the machine for about 5 minutes to reset the main board, then plug it back in. (You might see a spark and hear a "pop" at the outlet due to the amount of current being immediately used by the machine at idle--this is alarmingly normal!) The machine should give a short beep after being plugged in--this tells you that the main board is alive and receiving power. Try to initiate a cycle again. The circuit board for the control panel might be defective if you get the same results. Important: have you had a power outage recently--such as 3-4 weeks prior? They are NOTORIOUS for damaging boards in the electronic washers. All the lights will light up and you will see "88" on the display. If there are any stored error codes, the most recent one will be displayed--Fxx(example: F2--means there is a stuck button on the user interface board) The machine stores the last 4 error codes--keep momentarily pressing the spin button to see any stored codes until the machine displays a C0. Image 3 has the instructions. The first 2 pix show the sequence of the automatic self test and what will be in the display as each of the machine functions is initiated. See the attached pix below. For any displayed error codes, you can do web searches using your model number and the error code to find out what the meaning is. Let me know what you find--to exit the diagnostic mode, simply press the power button. I hope this helps you! 25944929-e4y2tmipudcmmd02yuhe5yu4-3-0.jpg 25944929-e4y2tmipudcmmd02yuhe5yu4-3-1.jpg 25944929-e4y2tmipudcmmd02yuhe5yu4-3-3.jpg 25944929-e4y2tmipudcmmd02yuhe5yu4-3-6.jpg

No water hot or cold water will come into tub even with a load in the washer

Hello. The pix below show how to initiate diagnostic mode. You press any button except POWER, START, STOP and hold it for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds. If you are successful, all the lights will light up and an "88" will be in the display. Any fault codes will be displayed and you need to check what they are. I've included pix that have the codes...also, the 2nd pic shows the progression of the automated test and what you will see in the display as it runs. User interface board 8564291 Main board W10104830 Valve assembly W10059320 When each of the valves is activated, there should be 120v at the connector for whichever valve is on at the time. If any one valve is defective, the whole valve assembly must be replaced. If there is voltage at the valve and water should be flowing, it's defective. If there is *no* voltage at the valve, check wiring 1st, then suspect a bad main control board. It contains all the connectors that go to the individual valves and has the program which controls the entire washer. 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-0.jpg 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-1.jpg 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-3.jpg 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-6.jpg 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-10.jpg 25836571-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-15.jpg
