There are three things that can cause this problem. Here they are.
- Suspension spring missing or broken
- Tub balancing spring missing or broken
- All four feet not on the floor at once. (Needs leveling)
- Ballance ring has dried out or leaked out.
Here is how to check and repair the list above.
#1. Tilt washer backwards so that you can get under the front. Check the large springs and make sure all three are in place on the three points of the triangle base.
#2. Makes sure that this spring is also in place. If so they may be weak and need to be replaced anyway. These are more important than they look.
#3.Set machine back down. Now pull on machine so that the back legs come of the floor. Now set machine back down. Doing this levels the legs on the back.
#4. Open lid and pull tub to one side so you can see the top of both the inside and outside tub. On top of them is a plastic piece that covers the top of both. Shake this and listen for water sloshing. It should have water inside that helps balance machine. If it's dry, you will need to replace.
Please go to
www.partselect.com and enter IP4400 in the block where you enter your model number. This will bring up a blow up of every piece of your machine and where you can find them inside the machine. If you click on the diagram that's
labeled Machine Base Parts, all the parts I listed other than the ring #4 will be in the diagram. You can see where they go, their part number and you can also order them. I have found that they have the best price on parts most of the time. I sure hope this helps and I'm sure it will solve your problem if I didn't confuse you with my rambling. Good luck and have a great day.
