Hi,

The error message 36 may happen to come in your Brother printer due to some physical damages. Thus, you can solve the issue by replacing these damaged parts of the printer. You need to replace the maintenance unit with a new one. It is good to upgrade the carriage PCB, head or carriage unit and carriage motor, if these are causing the issue. The main PCB of the printer may also get the issue and you need to replace the main PCB. You may also need to replace the power supply PCB if it is damaged.

The print head circuit or cable is malfunctioning or faulty. Replace the printer. I would suggest the Brother MFC-j450dw/j470dw printer as it is an upgraded and newer version of the j430w. Good luck! 17145485-co0hh21rhgpmjewkg41xo3gz-4-0.jpg 17145485-co0hh21rhgpmjewkg41xo3gz-4-1.jpg 17145485-co0hh21rhgpmjewkg41xo3gz-4-2.jpg

This is errors in purge station on your printer. If you are a professional disassembly the printer and look purge unit. There is a gear which broke or the purge station just stuck.Clean the encoder strip and encoder gear.

There are several issues that pertain to this code, including a service update. If your printer is still under warranty – visit your local ASC, find one here, this issue is covered! First off, the Service Update, the encoder strip needs to be cleaned with a lint free cloth. The encoder strip is responsible for relaying the position of the print head to the main pcb. If the encoder strip gets dirty, many different problems can occur. The encoder strip is exposed, which allows grease, paper dust, finger prints, ink, etc. to get onto the encoder strip. (The white strip when you open the scanner cover)
If the machine still errors, the encoder strip needs to be replaced – Part Number LS4467001
If the machine still errors, replace the carriage PCB assembly – Part Number LS6543001
If the machine still errors, replace the Printhead – Part Number LK3211001
If the machine still errors, replace the Main PCB assembly – Part Number LT0284011

did you take the tape off the new cartridge and is the print head burned out for the black? if you installed the diagnostic's on it then run it and see what it says, otherwise expect the print head to be cooked, however it is possible to get a bad ink cartridge try tapping it on your finger and see if ink comes out if it does not then the ink cartridge is dried out or no good, about %15 of print cartridges are bad on just about any brand printer some more than others.

Hi, Try to reset Purge, it just might help. 1. press buttons OK, Menu, Mono Start one by one, followed by up arrow key four times. this should all be done as short a time as possible, around 3 seconds. 2. enter maintenance mode 80 by pressing the up/down arrow key and set key to select numbers 8 and 0 3. press blue MONO start button to select PURGE which requires it to be pressed a number of times before PURGE appears on the LCD screen of the printer 4. then use the up'down key and OK button to enter the reset code 2, 7, 8 and 3 keys to reset the counter : Note this does not overwrite the number next to PURGE on the LCD screen but once the last number is added it gets reset to 0000 5. press Stop/Exit key to go to root of maintenance mode 6. enter 9,9 to exit maintenance mode Clean unable 46 error on dcp 135c brother printer

Get a syringe, remove the needle, remove the ink cartridge and use the syringe to blow air GENTLY through the hole the cartridge connects to. Make sure you have a cleaning cloth to remove ink dislodged from pipe connected at the print head, do this gently to remove any obstruction and there should not be too much mess and can easily be cleaned up.
