Its LCD problem. Its unrepairable. This happen when unbearable weight has placed on laptop LCD or mishandling of the laptop. Better to ignore it or replace your LCD.

Hi,
The N500 has a row of touch sensitive buttons above the keyboard, toward the right side of the computer. If you have accidentally press one of those buttons you may have disabled the keyboard, try pressing one of those buttons to activate the keyboard again.

A few things to try:
First remove the battery from the laptop plug in the power adapter and see if it powers up without the battery in. If this works there is a problem with the battery or the battery driver. If it works login go to device manager and disable the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery. If battery works then it was the driver if still fails its a dead battery.
Try with just the battery it is probably dead though as its had no power to charge it.
Check if the power adapter has a light on it some have lights that indicate its receiving power. Also check if the lights on the laptop to say the battery is charging even though you indicated it isnt.

Get bios working first learn that modules can short, and when they do the power regs shut down. so we unplug all things to the mob, until only 1 ram and cpu remains. see? (this is called power overload fault isolation tactics) even the screen only can be dead, you never mention text showing you can test the mobo with external screen via that rear (?)_ VGA jack what if that worked, did you learn something here, sure. this pc has tons of modules to pull, even bluetooth. wifi, sound and more. if you look at all parts inside or sold by ebay, bingo. lots
