Try again with other software. If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos.
This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
All the download links listed in the article are through CNET, primarily to verify that these are malware free software, and to give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

HI,
Yes you can get back those pictures which you have been deleted mistakenly. No worries just install any data recovery software on your pc, like "professional data recovery" connect your camera with pc and get your data back. But one thing is importent here that you can get back only your data if you didn't format your camera memory, and if you have format then data can not be retrive.
Thanks for using fixya.

There is something blocking the sensors for the lens position. This can something as small as a piece of sand. The motors and gears that move the lens are very small and delicate. You can send it in for repairs to

I have had success with this photo recovery software... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.
