type in "services.msc"

now restart your computer and try installation

its recommended that you switch your os to windows 7 from vista as windows 7 is more bug free and crash is unlikely to happen

From this and several other posts you made on this device (I assume you are the same Anonymous poster), it appears you do not have a formatted hard drive installed in the unit, or you didn't know the computer is treating it as an external drive (even if it calls it an "unknown" USB device. Your computer is looking for the file system in the enclosure. The directions for finding the unit from a Windows computer (written for the mkv, not the mkv 2, but they would probably work the same) are given in the review article linked below. Note: if you don't find any "Unallocated" disk, look in "My Computer" for a drive that isn't your internal hard drive or other usual device. Are you using the charging cables that came with it? That is a type C. Are you securely attaching the charging cable? A loose connection would keep the battery from charging. If you had a low battery, you would see a red light. That you have no light at all suggests there is no charge left in the battery. I'm not sure the reset will work with no charge which is why you ought to check the cables first. But turn it off and then hold down the Multifunction button for 10 seconds to reset it. Then turn it back on and see what happens. If you can, test the charging cable on aother device. If you have another type C charging cable, try it, just to eliminate a bad cable.
