Fixya doesn't have any drivers for any device, the only place to get the software is at the manufacturers support site, if they don't have the needed drivers to use Linux then it likely doesn't exist.

Since it wasn't behaving like this previously, re-installing the software will solve the problem.

First, disconnect the printer from your computer. Uninstall the printer software from your control pane. After that restart the computer. Don't install the software or connect the printer yet.

Go to control panel, go to printer. You should find your printer's name/model there. Right click on the name and select delete. If you don't find the printer name, no problem. But make sure you delete all printer name that you see under Printers in control panel.

After that, restart the computer again, then you can now install the printer software afresh.

Install the software first, and after that plug in the printer. The software should direct you on the right time to plug the printer into the computer.

Have you tried Scanning? If scanning either doesn't work, then it's possible that the scanning unit (scanner lamp) is bad. Or is there any specific error shown when trying to Copy? It would be great if you can clarify. Thanks.

Yes. When removing a jam, it is never wise to "aggressively" remove the paper, as it can break switches, gears, etc. maybe any switches or gears had damanged, need replacement of that parts.

Dear You have not mentioned the model no. However certain model of SCX (viz-5315,6122 etc.) has a scanner lock bellow the platen body. That might have locked. Other has no locks, since no movement of CIS(scanner) results scanner lock. Mostly the platen cover and the scanner assy. realigned solve this problem. Also in case of small A4 SCX printer, slightly knock with your palm at both side of platen may sometimes over come the problem, make sure after your try machine should OFF and ON. if the above are not working, then the printer needs hardware replacement may be, scanner drive motor or Main PBA. does it happen when you put it on the glass or only thru the document feeder? if only when you use the doc feeder then it is something on the slit glass the small piece of glass about an inch wide next to the big sheet of glass. some times ink from a pen od dirt gets baked on the slit glass. it can be hard to get off but if you look closly then you can see it and clean it off.

LSU stands for laser beam scanning unit. You will most likely have to replace it.

Sir there is a sensor lever at middle of the engine base, under the toner cart. when the cart inserted it has to pushed half and other half is for paper jam-1 error. Pl. check the lever-check the smps photo interrupter-check the mech alignment of the lever- also check the cart hold lever(left-right) pressure (found on top of the engine base). Thanks.
