Hello, check the size of the pages you are printing: if you are printing A4 on letter, as the set page is too small, the printer takes two. Good luck !

I have had the same problem. I dread trying to change the toner cartridge because it just doesn't fit once you take it out. There is something really wrong with this printer. I am not incapable of changing a cartridge. But this particular configuration doesn't work right once you take the tray out. In fact, it is so difficult to get the green handle to fit back in properly, I'm pretty sure that it is responsible for the fact that the paper feed tray doesn't work anymore. I hate this printer. Really.

Paperport should have come with your printer from Dell (as mine did). This is a scanning utility program. Open Paperport, select the 1125 as your scanner and under Settings ->>Output, you choose the type of file.

I just did this 5 min ago. The tabs that hold it on the machine have cams that hold it in. just squeeze the tray lightly at the tabs and it slides right out.

The thing is that you need to replace the drum unit on the machine witch can be purchased at your local dealer!!

Please double check if all doors, including the paper tray cover, are firmly (repeat FIRMLY !) closed. Seemingly all such are designed as precautionary measures for safe operation.

double check the one you installed to ensure it was installed correctly. You can do this by removing it with the power turned off then reinstall it. Try to power it back on.

On mine, after some trial and error, I found that if you DISCONNECT the unit completely from the AC outlet for 5 or 10 minutes, then plug it back in again it works.
However please check these things:
1)the power cord wire must be faulty.try replacing that power wire. 2)the power cord wire must not be connected properly either to the electric outlet or to the back of the printer.
3)the electric socket in which u r trying to connect the power wire must be faulty.check out in any other socket.
4)or it could be the short circuit in the main board of printer.if that is the case then it will be very much costly to get it repaired.

Hi, I have Dell 1125 All-in-One Laser Printer. I can send faxes by going to fax option and dialing the number.

How can I set it up to receive faxes? keep in mind that I have only one phone line which I use for both phone and fax.

How can I set the ringers in a way that for example at 4th ring goes to answering machine and at 6th ring goes to fax?

I really appreciate it.

If you take your cell-phone, and dial the telephone-number of your printer, what do you hear from your cell-phone? Dialing? Ringing? Busy signal? What do you hear from the printer? Ringing? Answering? The "high-low" speed-negotiation squawking?
Any messages on the printer's LCD screen, when it is "answering" ?
