Go into the Printing Preferences and Click Services. It should come up to a page that says Print Information Pages. Drop the arrow down to configuration page. It's the second Drop Down Arrow

I would recommend checking to see if the print que is checked to Use Printer Offline

you have to replace scan unit ,black box located under top cover

Just observed that while loading the catridge, memory reading mechanism has to engage with memory, if this mechanism broken, not moving or jammed result memory error msg.. most of the cases observed broken.

Send it back to HP service center if your printer is still under warranty. or send it to printer repair shop. I think there is nothing you can do to fix.

i have hp printer laser 1505, it can print out and i set the paper on portrait. but the output of printing out is the characters are on landscape style. So what should i do...plz help me if somebody can solve it
