I need to connect a 34oo series lexmark printer to

Not sure how much I can help you.

*Turn computer off.
*Plug printer into a port on the back of your computer. There are very few ports so you should be able to find one that makes your printer plug. Plug printer into power strip/outlet.
*Turn computer back on.
*Keep printer off for now. During installation it should tell you to turn the printer on.
*Put the CD that came with the printer into the cd/dvd drive. A menu should appear. You want to "Install" or "Setup" your printer. Something along those lines. Follow the instruction from there.
*After successful installation of the printer restart the computer.

That is as basic as I can make it. I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Dell XPS 730 no video, not bios, fan running hard

Fist touching anything on the motherboard without a anti-static strap can kill the motherboard.

The fan running at full speed is no big deal. If you took out the video card
how do you expect to see anything on the monitor.

You need to plug the monitor you have into a working computer, this will rule out the monitor. If the monitor died, you did all this for nothing.

Now unless the motherboard has onboard video you have to put the card back in, if it does have onboard, even without the drivers installed you still see the post, because windows will let it run at post, and with the video card, it will still show post without drivers.

Do this, check monitor, try both ports and post back and tell us whats
going on.

Dell xps 730 19 in 1 memory card reader and bluetooth not working

Hi,
Kindly un-install both the drivers for blue-tooth and wireless card from your computer. Just right click on each driver in the device manager select remove or un-install. Restart your computer and re-download the drivers from the dell support site.

www.support.dell.com

Note: dell support site would only contain drivers , for your xps system h/w that came from dell. if you have attached the wireless and blue-tooth later , you might need to download them from manufacturer website

Thanks

Dell error code 2000-0142

Any error code for a hard drive isn't good, and should be reason to get a new one right away. So long as the drive is still able to be accessed, you have a chance of retrieving your data. There are free utilities to help you 'clone' the data to a new drive, but you may want to ask a tech-minded friend for help if you've never done it before. It sounds like the drive isn't dead yet, but is definitely on its way out. Good luck!

Disable mic on xps m1730

Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right, next to the date/time) and select recording devices. It will give you a list of whatever devices you have on your computer that are designated to record sounds. Choose the on board microphone, right click, and select disable device.

Dell pc makes loud clicking noise like machine gun

Something is jammed in one of the fans ??? (there are at least 2 = one at the back of the power supply = should be easy to see - and one inside on the CPU heatshnk (harder to get to) Else its likley the Power supply or monitor is 'shorting out' internally .. If it's just 'ticking' it's likly your hard drive going bad (unless, of course, you happen to have a CD/DVD disc inserted into the CD/DVD reader ...sometimes these 'tick' during power-up as the PC tries to boot from the disc :-) )

Will not power up

I know this post is over a year old, but i feel like chiming in anyway. The motherboard may have suffered from cheap cap syndrome. This happens when the components used to populate the motherboard were poorly made with inferior products. The capacitor's may have swelled up to the point of uselessness. This would give you post errors, or no post, or even no power. This is not to rule out the power supply, but it is more likely the motherboard. To test the power supply, unplug the big 20+ pin plug from the power supply to the motherboard, and use a conductor such as a paperclip to connect the one and only green wire in the mix to any black wire (there is a black wire on either side of the green one, you can use both) If the power supply is still good, the fans and drives will come on and spin up when you make this jump with the paperclip. If for some reason you notice the fans twitching but not spinning, then you know the power supply IS bad!

A cd is stuck in my lap top the tray will come out but the cd will not

With the tray open, visually inspect to ensure the cd is still in line with the spindle. Something long and thin (such as a thin knife or spatula) slide it between the top of the drive and the top of the cd. Carefully tip the tool down to try and release the CD from the spindle. Do not attempt to force it! If it is not jammed in the drive, the CD should drop free. Carefully pull the CD out of the drive. Look at the CD to see if it has been damaged from the drive. If the CD will not come out, it needs to be take to a repair service.

When I did this project Ace Hardware had the screwdriver bit for my drill for less than two dollars. Good luck!

How do I get 2 FB accounts on Google

I suggest you use two different browsers. For example use two of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox under Windows; or Safari and Firefox under Mac OS X. Use one browser to open your own FB account, and a different browser to open your wife's FB account. Once you have entered your username and password in each browser for the respective FB account, and don't delete cookies, each browser will remember your respective account. To easily access FB when you open your browser, add the FB site to your Favorites or Bookmarks bar.
