No it's not beyond the sleep problem but the problem is that I work on my pc will fall to sleep and as I alume alume does not and remains in standby and I have nothing to do that will stop

You can program your "Power Button" to do a lot of things or even nothing. To program go to "Control Panel" "Hardware and Sounds" then select "Power Options". Here you can "Change When the computer sleeps". Hope this helps.

Ram slots problems

Are you sure it's the slot and not the ram? Try switching the ram to isolate which memory chip is bad. You can start by using on ram and one slot, then booting and if it's ok, move it to the next slot and boot. Once you've tested that one memory chip, do the same thing with the other memory chip. More than likely you've got a bad memory chip.Try switching the ram in each slot. If switching them around does not solve the problem and your slot is truely bad, you will have to replace the motherboard or increase the size of the ram in the slot that works.

I deleted gx280 soundmax driver

You have a number of ways to do this.

There should be a "Service Tag" on the unit. Normally found in the same spot as the serial number, etc. It is usually a combo of 6 letters and numbers.

Go to Dells support site.

You can enter this Service tag (you may have to move around the support site a bit) and you should get info on that particular system. You should be able to download drivers for the sound card from this area.

--- or ---

You can manually enter you model on the same page "service Tag" page and get to the drivers and downloads section

Here is a link that will jump start you. While the GX280 shown is a mini-tower, it is highly likely the audio driver will be the same. Look under "Audio".

How do i get the computer to start up when all it does is flash the Dell logo

Larry provides great information. Larry Ng Apr 30, 2022 good news the not told at all PC screen is not dead. a major fact but lacks all evidence like: 1, No PC told no OS told xp to w11 2: fans spin? all do, psu ,cpu and gpu card if fan. 3: Optiplex is a desktop 29 years of models made wow. 4: you mean Dell Splash logo. yes, and then it does the post bar, if post bar stalls that means hardware gross errors. sadly no PC model told of vast versions. wow. just wow hopeless that.? but is par here, and vast wrong answers just for that fact alone.even mine. i have many optiplex PC here old and new and my fav is 9020MT or smaller my oldest is 380(in storage) is your coin cell dead. (if yes can NOT be ignored) my dells all have F12 diagnostics, power on and hammer F12,, pick diag eSPA and run it older PCs dell if the HDD is dead the F12 diag is dead. due to being located there back long ago. my dells have a BIOS log page, go to BIOS the click tab, LOG read the logs. see what fails. (coin cell RTC sure)_ easy no?\ but why on earth post lacking the model number making any useful simple help 10 pages long for 29years of models. 1993 is the first OptiPlex, seen here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_OptiP... nobody can guess and no era is the same. evolution max. ..
