Trap has gone dry on the indoor unit drain or no trap is installed. If trap is present, fill the trap with water either from a clean out, if installed, or take the door off and pour water in the drain pan and let it run down.

If no trap installed, install P-trap. This is a draw-through coil so it needs a trap.

I have a goodman furnace. ac froze....understand i need to get to root of that, but fan wont come on. could be the motor, but status light on control board is completely out. confirmed power to board, from board to transormer, and then out of transformer. fuse is fine too. wondering if board is shorted ? lots of water from thawing

If the status light is completely off then you have a failed board.

Also the root cause of the ac unit freezing up is likely either due to low refrigerant charge or low airflow, and given the fact that the motor will not run in fan only mode indicates that it is likely why the ac froze up as well. you need a new motor and indoor blower fan. I would also replace the indoor blower capacitor. I replace those anytime I replace a motor.

I have a Goodman GMH95 Furnace. 4 Blink Error code. I have checked high limit circuit and all sensors are working (test closed while cool.) When I turn on furnace, as soon as it recieves signal to turn on from thermostat, both blowers turn on, and 4 Blink Error begins immediately, and the ind blower shuts down, and the circulator blower runs indefinitely. Ignitor and gas never start running. Am I looking at a bad circuit board?

There are several issues that can cause this. They range from airflow issues to bad main control boards. The airflow is easiest and it goes without saying that the filters should be clean or recently replaced. There have been cases where the controller board has retained that error and you must power off the whole furnace in order to reset it. Sometimes it requires you to replace the control board. I have a Goodman CPLJ30-1 split heat pump. With the thermostat calling for heat or cool the unit will not do anything. Also the fan will not come on if you switch the fan to on from auto. I have 240 volts on the input side of the outside unit but I do not have 24 volts at the outside unit or at the thermostat inside. So it’s a low voltage problem but not sure what. If you manually push the contactor outside the fan will start.

Trace the 24 volt feed to its source and you will find what's wrong.

I have a goodman gmpn100 4 rev b furnace the gas lights eveything is ok except the blower motor does not come on the motor runs fine on the bench at all speeds back in unit nothing

if no voltage from control board check safety circuit if ok bad control board

On most Goodman's the three blinking lights indicate an issue with the pressure switch circuit. That can usually mean one of 4 things.

1. Your flue is blocked with debris.
2. Inducer motor has failed or is not reaching proper speed to satisfy switch.
3. Pressure switch or inducer connections are loose.
4. Pressure switch is bad.

I have a Goodman 2 stage heat pump the compressor starts as soon a power is applied. it's in heat since the reversing valve is not energized. the fan is not on and the control board gives code EE. Even if I remove 24vac to the board the compressor still starts . there is no external contactor it is on the control board

Relay on the board is stuck, need new control board.

I have a Goodman GMVM970603BN Furnace and GSXC160361 AC unit. My ComfortNet thermostat suddenly stopped displaying outside temperature. Everything still operates fine.

When your thermostat was installed, a small sensor with transmitter was placed somewhere outside of your house, (Mine was placed under the house, zip tied to a floor joist). You need to find the sensor (about the size of a zippo lighter), open it, and replace the battery and put it back where it was.

Hello My Goodman GMT070-03B furnace was working erratic. I left it on, it was going through the cycles. The motor sounded weak and it finally went out. It had a four flash error. I saw that could mean bad limit switches. Also upon further looking online, could mean low air flow. I replaced the blower motor and now I have a continuous flash and it is not turning on. Can someone help Need heat

My Goodman furnace is not firing. The red light is on, the igniter is heating up, but no flames. I have gas to the house as my gas dryer is working. What could be the issue?

Check to see if your furnace has an exhaust fan, if it does, make sure it is coming on. If it's not, the furnace will not light.

Furnace pilot won't stay on.

This can be a number of things;
1. Thermostat is not programmed properly and all your doing is rebooting it
2. Bad electric ignitor for the furnace
3. Wiring is wrong from thermostat to furnace or vice versa
