Are you sure that it is F2 to get into the BIOS? Try plugging an external USB keyboard to see if the key press is detected

Good day Manuel
No you cannot, the resolution of your laptop is not provided by the screen of the laptop it is generated by the video card, so if in your current settings the highest resolution you can turn your laptop to is 1280 X 800 then that is the most you are going to get.

The best you can hope for is to update to the latest video card drivers and software and maybe just maybe you may be able to increase the resolution but that is not a gurantee.

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

Sounds like liquid may have been spilled on the keyboard.

Plug in an external usb keyboard and check if it works.

If so, you will need to buy a replacement keyboard and swap it out, best cheap from Ebay.

Google search your manufacturer make and model and the words reset button location. You can find it in the image search results. You could also try the manual, which should show the location.

Normally there is a hardware switch on the side of the laptop

Sometimes you can press on the keyboard some buttons like this -
Activate by pressing FN (on same line as spacebar in blue) and then a button that looks similar to this one.

Often you find it at (or towards) the right top area. This is not possible to confirm without knowing what computer/keyboard/Operating System you use.
It may be abbreviated as "PRT SC" or similar and often is in connection with an Alt key. If you have a dedicated Numbers keypad it should be to the top of that.
For better answer please ask with more details.

Hi
According to the manual which I found available for download here:
File description
there is a button on the keyboard marked "num" and this toggles the virtual number pad on and off. I cannot however find a diagram, or any indication in the manual as to where on the keyboard this button is.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

Enjoy the windows 7 like original windows 7.

As you are not using original windows, you are not authorised to update windows. If you update windows, Microsoft will install one file which can detect your window is genuine or not. So follow the below steps to switch off windows automatic update.
1. open control panel.
2. Go to windows update.
3. Click on "Install updates automatically(Recommended)".
4. Select "never check for updates(Not recommended)"

Before using above methods, you were getting error "this copy of windows is not genuine", that means your windows has updated file which can detect your windows OS. So You must uninstall the update which was detecting your windows.
Follow the below steps to uninstall windows update.
1. Open control panel.
2. Go to windows update section.
3. Click on view installed updates.
4. After loading all installed updates, check for update "KB971033? and uninstall.
5. Restart your PC.
We must use above mentioned three methods to get error free windows.
Still if you are getting problems, then download, re install windows 7 and follow above steps. Then you will never get "this copy of windows in not genuine" error.
