HI markyague do you have the desktop manager loaded on yout computer. If you do the the software is you need to reload your applications onto your blackberry. You will need to backup the information as you reload the doftware if you do not. You will be in out of luck on the contacts and any other nformation. Take the phone off charge and take off the battery on the phone, you can now put the battery back into the phone. Press and hold the red power button on your phone. If the problem persist then go ahead and download the blackberry desktop manager unto your computer. Connect your blackberry to the computer and initiate the blackberry desktop manager. Once it shows connected as status between the phone and your BDM (blackberry Desktop Manager). Reinstall the software on your blackberry. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
