Wurlitzer Jukebox CD Player - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Hi, I have a Wurlitzer New York New York CD
The problem is most likely the K7 microswitch actuator. I have these as well as the instructions to install and adjust it. Please email
[email protected]. Normally this is a very inexpensive repair. BTW, the NYNY is hands down the most beautiful CD box produced.

I have a wurlitzer cd-carnegie
Speakers are connected to the output transformer assembly. It is a unit with two transformers and many screw terminals. There is a big red L on one transformer and a big red R on the other. If you don't have a manual, I can email you the connection diagram for the output transformer assembly. Please email me,

Where can i buy a laser drive for wurlitzer 1015
The cd unit in this jukebox is an Philips CDM12 mechanism. It's a proprietary one, that can't be replaced with anything else.

My cd rowe ami jukebox is stuck in scan/transfer mode
Hello,
You say you do not have the digital display lite up, have you checked all of the breakers on the power supply?
If not do so. Rowe Ami jukeboxes are very prone to dry joints (cold joints in the USA) this is cracking around the soldered pin on the connections to the boards.
If you can solder correctly then check out the printed circuit board on the power supply. I would retest and see if the display now lights after correcting a fault on the power supply.
If that has not made any difference then proceed to the Mechanism Control Board and the Central Control Computer (CCC) and check again for dry joints.
If you can not solder with any confidence then send in your boards to a Rowe Ami specialist for testing/repair.

Disc player picks up CDs,
In my experience this is usually a problem with the CD player or the CD control unit. I have had this problem with my Wurlitzer CD Carnegie and I solved it by simply taking a Q-tip, moistening it with rubbing alcohol and lightly rubbing it on the CD player's laser lens and then using the other side of the Q-tip to dry it. Over time dust and dirt can build up on the lens causing read errors, which in turn cause the jukebox to reject the CD. If that does not help, I would suggest looking into replacing the CD player or the CD control unit.

The CD number display is
In the 1015 model - the one in the picture, the error 8 signifies that the controller of the player is no longer communicating with the cd mechanism: either the mechanism has failed and it will have to be replaced or the controller has a defect in itself.
The only way to fix that is to open the unit, test and diagnose it and replace the failed part. That is a job that only a well qualified personnel should do - contact Wurlitzer here

to obtain the data on the closest certified repair shop. Beware, the repair will be expensive, over $500.
