If you are unable to logon to Sage you can try deleting the Queue.dta file. All users MUST be logged out of Sage and Sage should not be running. Sage will recreate the queue.dta file when it is restarted. The Queue.dta file can be found in the ACCDATA folder for the Sage Company Data that is experiencing the problem.
Note that the "Username already in use" message from Sage can occur if Sage wasn't shut down tidily for that users session. If you are sure that the user is not actually logged in it's OK to allow Sage to clear the session and log in.

Delete the QUEUE.DTA file from within the ACCDATA folder of your data directory.

Make sure there is no other user that has the program open (if it is on a network). Shutdown the computer and restart the program. Make sure you have all the Windows updates installed.

If sage doesn't prompt you to clear the user you can manually delete the queue.dta file from your data directory

Hi.

We had same problem. Our solution:

1. Empty both the 'accdata' and the 'criteria' folders.
2. Start Sage.
3. Restore a previous backup.

This worked for us. Hope it helps you.

This message usually comes when the target location is not there or is renamed OR the address is wrong. Open My Computer, and go to the address you gave. Look if there is the file named *TB.SRT.

And by the way... the address you gave was "
C:\PROGRAM\\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\REPORTS\\*TB.SRT" BUT I believe that the address should be "C:\PROGRAM\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\REPORTS\*TB.SRT".
It is not possible that the address contains 2 slash (\\) repeatedly. Open the file by going to the My Computer OR by opening the software and by locating the file manually from there.

live chat assistance costs $19.99. And $12.99 for one time e-mail premium support.

If you have a registered product then I would suggest you to visit:

There you might find a solution at no cost.

Please inform if your problem is solved or not. And please rate if you found the above info useful.

I installed Sage Payment Gateway over a Magento website last year and got to come the same kind of problem for shipping in UK. I think you need to upgrade your Sage software to PRO if its free one as their free versions are not sufficient enough to get the work done.

Sage has an EXPORT function that you can use to transfer data.

You could also copy the daily files from the storage folder to a USB drive

O the new machine use the IMPORT function to import a backup of the files or use the folder options to get data from the USB drive to set up a new company profile which would use your old data to set up a new copy of SAGE with your exisying information.

The prefered option is IMPORT / EXPORT

Hello.

Even though these suggestions are for manual entry, they may be useful in troubleshooting this problem:

How To Find Trial Balance Errors
  1. Check the totaling of the debit column and the credit column. It is very easy to make an error when totaling a large column of figures therefore this is an obvious place to start.
  2. Calculate the difference between the debit and credit totals as this may come in useful later in the checking exercise if the difference cannot be found easily.
  3. Check that each balance in the trial balance has been correctly copied into the trial balance and that each has been included on the correct side, debit or credit.
  4. Check that all balances in the main ledger have been included in the trial balance. In particular ensure that the bank balance and petty cash balances have been included, as these are generally kept physically separate from the main ledger.
  5. Check that the calculation of the balance on each ledger account is correct.
  6. Look in the ledger accounts for any entry that is for the same amount as the difference on the trial balance and, if it is found, check that the double entry for this transaction has been correctly carried out.
  7. Look in the ledger accounts for any entry that is for half the amount of the difference on the trial balance and, if it is found, check that the double entry for this transaction has been correctly carried out.
Hope this helps.

hi dmatharu667
this happens when you take a backup of a company that has a accdata folder in the accdata folder and it reports version as v9. To correct this go to data directory go into accdata directory and in that director move or delete the second accdata directory, repeat your backup and it should then restore perfectly
