Hi there,
Well first of all you can check out the water-inlet valve -most cleaning problems are caused by the dishwasher not getting enough wash water, so the water-inlet valve is often the cause. This valve is usually at the bottom left or right of the dishwasher, behind the lower access panel. It's the device with the main water line from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. When a water-inlet valve is defective, you may hear the sound that's usually referred to as "water hammer." If the water-inlet valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. Further you can check the drain valve - Some dishwashers have a valve (or gate) that should open only during draining. If debris lodges in the valve, it can't close properly, so water drains out during the wash cycle. Most dishwashers drain into the garbage disposer. If yours does that, listen for water flowing into the disposer during the wash cycle. If you can hear it then, the drain valve may be clogged. Please post details about the model number of your dishwasher for further help or information.......
Good Luck!!
Thanks

Hi there,
Well first of all you can check out the door switch - The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it. Your switch also may be locked in place by a locking clip. If this is the case there should be a button or a lever that you can press or pull, which will release the switch and it can simply be removed. Please post comments for further help or information........
Good Luck!!
Thanks

Dishwasher cycle goes on and on like for an hour
if the sump is clogged up with with debris or the macerater is broken or the heater is not operating , the dishwasher will not operate properly and operate for a long time. Best off to call a reputable service company such as Sears.

thanks but problem solved talking with a friend. One suggestion I would make though is that you include cycle times in minutes in future editions of your machine user manual

No water coming when turned on
This sounds like a stuck float.
Inside the dishwasher, usually on the left side and right by the front, there's a water level sensor, about the size of a bottle of advil.
When the dishwasher is full, this floats up and shuts off the water to keep it from overfilling and flooding your kitchen.
If it gets stuck in this raised position, then the dishwasher thinks it's always full and the water won't turn on.
Check to see if something has become stuck underneath, or if the float is hung up on something.
