Our Beko Fridge Freezer has started to make a

When it is off, gently shake the frig to see if the rattle is something in the frig hitting togrther. If that is not it it could be the compressor hitting the case inside due to a broken spring on the motor. The only repair for this is replace the compressor. In which case you let it run like that till it quits completely. That can be a very long time. Eric

Freezer working fine but fridge wont go cold!

Hi

Poor cooling is often the result of a heavy frost build-up on the evaporator coils or a condenser that is clogged with dust, lint, and dirt.

Evaporator coils Poor cooling is often the result of a heavy frost build-up on the evaporator coils. You can't see these coils without removing a panel on the inside of your freezer. A sure sign that there is a build-up is the presence of any frost or ice build-up on the inside walls, floor, or ceiling of the freezer. Such a frost build-up usually indicates a problem in the self-defrosting system or damaged door gaskets.

The refrigerator is supposed to self-defrost approximately four times in every 24 hour period. If one of the components in the self-defrosting system fails, the refrigerator continues to try to cool. Eventually, though, so much frost builds up on the evaporator coils that the circulating fan can't draw air over the coils. There may still be a small amount of cooling because the coils are icy, but with no air flow over the coils, cooling in the refrigerator compartment is quite limited.

Here's an inexpensive, though inconvenient, way to determine if the problem is with the self-defrosting system. Remove all of the perishable food from the refrigerator and freezer, turn the thermostat in the refrigerator to Off, and leave the doors open for 24 to 48 hours. (Be sure to have several towels ready in case the melting frost and ice causes the drip pan to overflow). This allows the refrigerator to defrost "manually." When the frost and ice build-up has completely melted away, turn the thermostat back to a normal setting. If the refrigerator then cools properly, it indicates a problem with one of three components in the self-defrosting system:

  • The defrost timer

  • The defrost thermostat (also called the bi-metal switch)

  • The defrost heater

If it still does not cool properly, there may be a problem with the refrigerant level or the compressor. You may need to consult with a qualified appliance repair technician to further diagnose the problem

Condenser Self-defrosting refrigerators all have a set of coils and a cooling fan, usually under the refrigerator, that need to be cleaned regularly. If these coils get coated with dust, dirt or lint, the refrigerator may not cool properly. The coils may appear to be a thin, black, wide radiator-like device behind the lower kick-panel. To clean them, disconnect the refrigerator from the power source, use a refrigerator condenser brush (see the Appliance Accessories section) and your vacuum cleaner to clean the coils of any lint, pet hair, etc. You may not be able to get to all of the condenser from the front, it may be necessary to clean the remainder of the condenser from the rear of the refrigerator.

Please revert for further assistance and Do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful.

Thanks

Fridge won't quit running and get cold

2 common problems that unit has. 1 is the cold controls go bad and will cause the unit to either run or not run. 2 the freezer drain gets blocked up very easy and when the freezer defrost the water has noplace to go but the freezer bottom and could block the air passages so the cold air will not satisfy the control. so check the freezer bottom by removing the plastic peice on the bottom there are 3 plastic plugs in the front that secure it and some phillips screw in the middle. you can just lift it to check for ice. if there is none replace the cold control. good luck

My haier 10.5 model 10TG31SW is not cooling neither top or bottom any clues

If your Haier 10.5 model 10TG31SW refrigerator is not cooling, there could be a few different issues causing the problem. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the thermostat: Ensure that the thermostat is set to the appropriate temperature. If it is set too low, the fridge will not cool properly.
  2. Check the condenser coils: The condenser coils may be dirty or clogged, preventing the refrigerator from cooling properly. Clean the coils with a brush or vacuum.
  3. Check the door seal: Make sure the door seal is tight and not damaged. If the seal is not tight, cold air will escape and the refrigerator will not cool properly.
  4. Check the evaporator fan motor: If the evaporator fan motor is not functioning properly, it could cause the refrigerator not to cool.
  5. Check the compressor: If the compressor is not functioning properly, the refrigerator will not cool. It may need to be replaced by a professional.
  6. Check the refrigerant level: If the refrigerant level is low, it can cause the cooling system to fail. This is a job that should be done by a professional with the right equipment and experience.
  7. Check the defrost system: If the defrost system is not working properly, the evaporator coils will frost over and the refrigeration will not work.
  8. Check the power supply: Make sure the fridge is properly plugged in and that the outlet has power.
Please note that it's also possible that there could be other issues causing your refrigerator not to cool, so it may be best to seek the help of a professional if the above steps do not resolve the problem.

Is there any way I can delete the alarm beep when doors are left open on my new Haier fridge HSBS610IS please?

It depends on the model of your Haier refrigerator. Many newer models of Haier refrigerators have a feature to disable the alarm beep when the doors are left open. To disable the alarm beep, you will need to check the user manual of your refrigerator for specific instructions on how to do this, as the process may vary depending on the model. Here are a few general steps that could help you to disable the alarm beep:
  1. Look for a button or switch labeled "alarm" or "door alarm" on the control panel of your refrigerator.
  2. Press and hold the button or switch for a few seconds until the alarm stops beeping. This should disable the door alarm.
  3. In some models, you can disable it through the settings menu of the control panel, look for the alarm setting and turn it off.
  4. Look for the manual of your refrigerator, it should have the information on how to do it.
If you can't find a way to disable the alarm beep, or you are not comfortable with following the instructions, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional for further assistance.

The wire that fixes to freezer compartment with a metal prong has come adrift

It sounds like the wire you're describing is the defrost thermostat. The defrost thermostat is responsible for controlling the defrost cycle of the refrigerator. The flat piece of metal with hooks at each end that you mentioned is likely the clip that attaches the thermostat to the evaporator coils in the freezer compartment. To reattach the thermostat, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the evaporator coils in the freezer compartment. The coils are typically located in the back of the freezer.
  2. Carefully place the hooks of the clip onto the evaporator coils.
  3. Insert the metal prong on the end of the thermostat wire into the clip.
  4. Ensure the wire is properly seated in the clip and that the clip is securely fastened to the evaporator coils.
  5. Put back the cover panel of the freezer compartment
  6. Check that the thermostat wire is not pinched or crimped and that it has enough slack to move freely.
  7. Plug the refrigerator back in and turn it on.
It's important to note that working with the refrigeration system could be dangerous and it's always recommended to contact a professional if you're not comfortable with the task.

  2. Check the compressor's overload protector: The overload protector may have tripped, check to see if it is tripped and reset it if necessary.
  3. Check the compressor's capacitors: They could be damaged and need replacing.
  4. Check the evaporator fan motor: If the evaporator fan motor is not functioning properly, it could cause the freezer not to freeze.
  5. Check the defrost system: If the defrost system is not working properly, the evaporator coils will frost over and the refrigeration will not work.
  6. Check the thermostat: Ensure that the thermostat is set to the appropriate temperature. If it is set too low, the freezer will not freeze properly.
  7. Check the power supply: Make sure the freezer is properly plugged in and that the outlet has power.
  8. Check the clicking sound: If the clicking sound is coming from the compressor, it could be the compressor's relay switch, which is responsible for turning the compressor on and off. This could be the issue and will need to be replaced.
Please note that if a compressor is a sealed unit and you're not able to charge it, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional for further assistance.
