Haier BC112G wine coere is an apparent spill that

you will have to gently pry it all around with a thin scraper, i am assuming there is no sealer as fluid would not have leaked in if there was.be gentle but forceful.

I just bought a wine cooler not sure where to

Hi there.........i take it this is a used / second hand wine cooler......if so you've probably discovered why its been discarded........problem could b due to a faulty compressor unit....the fans are usually wired through the compressor...and run in conjunction with it........if the compressor isnt running then the fans are out .........if the comressor is running then check that there is nothing impeeding the fans rotation.....check for broken or damaged wiring.....check for tampering by someone else....check continuity of wiring through fan coils.........check for faulty starter unit on compressor

I have a Haier BC-112g

Unfortunately to do that you would need a new temperature control and compressor, if it were an industrial sized fridge I'd say go ahead and do it, but for this size of fridge you are going to end up paying more to convert it then you would if you just bought a new fridge of the same size.

If it were me I'd sell the fridge you have on craigslist or ebay and just buy a mini-fridge from somewhere, such as Amazon, free shipping in many cases, and no tax. Here is a great one for example, the compressor would cost you more than this entire fridge:

Fridge not getting cold

5 reasons for fridge and/or freezer getting warm: 1- the evaporator coils are icing up and won?t let air circulate. 2- the evaporator fan is not working to circulate air. 3- there is no refrigerant in the system. 4- no power to fridge or compressor. 5- the condenser coils have no air circulation check under the fridge behind the vent. if it is too dusty or the fan isn?t working, it is not getting enough airflow to cool down. replace fan and/or vacuum out the dust. if there is no power to the fridge, the light will be off. if the compressor is not running, there is a defrost timer that cuts the power temporarily to the compressor to melt ice on the coils. it?s located under the fridge behind the bottom vent. If the timer is off and the compressor is not going, the compressor or the main board is bad and needs replacing. there is also a temperature sensor on the evaporator coils that tells the defrost coil to turn on and when to turn off. if the defrost timer is on but the coil is not heating up, replace the sensor. if it still won?t heat up, it?s the timer or the coil. the easiest way to tell if there is no refrigerant- the freezer wall is warm and the compressor is loud. if there is no refrigerant, it may be more cost effective to replace the fridge. if you feel no air coming from the freezer vent, the fan needs replacing. If you feel air moving in the freezer but not the fridge, the channel from freezer to fridge is blocked. if the freezer has air and the rear freezer wall has frost on it, the evaporator coils are iced up and need defrosting. causes: 1. low refrigerant 2. no fan 3. too much humid air in fridge/freezer due to door open or bad door seals 4. the condensate drain tube is clogged if the seal around the door is ripped or not completely sealing, or there is condensation at the bottom or the walls of the fridge, replace the seal(s). no air, no fan. Replace if the refrigerant is low, it just needs a top off. but you need to be certified by the epa to move refrigerant, so get a professional. defrost solutions: unplug the fridge. remove the wall of the freezer that is frosted/icing up. use a hair dryer to melt the ice. do not get too close. you will see a drain under the evaporator coil. make sure it is not blocked. the water should run freely to a condensate pan under the fridge that evaporates the condensation with the hot line from the compressor. once the coil is free of ice, frost, and water, replace the panel and repair any of the problems that caused the icing up. plug the fridge in and turn it on. If it frosts up within a week, there is still an issue that not been taken care of.

This is something you can not fix yourself. Remember it might cost as much as a new wine cooler to repair. As for free estimate on repait. That way if it cost to much your not out anything. Rus

Haier wine cooler produces intermittent loud "motor" noises.

Turn the unit around so you can hear the compressor (large black small basketball size unit lower left) if the sound is coming from that then it is probably lost lubrication or just failing. "These usually last forever but.... they do fail. I am not sure if this one (loke mine) has a samll fan. Clarify the noise for use and we can tell you what it is. a constant tapp tap tap fast paced is the compressor going out or out of lub etc. . A ting ting ting may be a fan... Robert-Aptos

Temperature gets and stays around 40 degrees then back freezes up

Have you checked the fins in the back to make sure that they are clean and not clogged with dust. If you have or you do not have any then your compressor is bad and you are best just throwing it away. If you have fins back there, use a spray bottle with hot water and put a towel under it and just spray and spray and spray until you can see through it with a flash light

Refrigerator makes a click sound now and again

TJ,

The starter on your compressor decided to go on strike. Fire it and get a new one. There's a universal starter I use all the time... it's a "PRO41". You can get one online or at a local appliance parts retailer.

Super easy to install. Pull the unit out and UNPLUG IT. Now remove the panel that's covering the compressor. On the left side of the compressor, you'll see the starter assy. (it may be under a plastic cover---> remove that).

Now just pry the old starter off and hook up the new one. Just line the pins up and press it on! That's it... fridge fixed.

Rate this solution, will ya? Show me some Expert (freebie) love.

Haier Wine Fridge problem

Hello bano24
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You have a faulty cold control (temperature control)
The cold control is a temperature actuated switch and should open when the set temperature has been achieved. If the control does not open and turn the compressor off, it will continue to run and all items in the fresh food section will begin to freeze.
Check the control for continuity.
And or need a hands on service tech to diagnose this fault

Haier wine cooler freezes the wine.

You may find that the thermostat is not working. Try to turn the thermostat to the warmest setting, the compressor should switch off within two hours, if not change the thermostat.

Wine cooler ( model HVF060ABL) runs continuously

Hi sig2,

Whenever such sitaution arises, whether its runs continouslyor sometimes even not working.....There is only one defect - Circuit board.

Either repair it, if you are aware of it...check voltage and continuity ....If you find any blown diodes or capacitors - replace them...........
There are millions of connections in a board , so it's not so easy to catch each and every aspect...but still try to fix it...
If not, either call a tech to check what's wrong......get an estimate of the repair...and then decide whether to buy a new one or want to repair the existing one....
You can also search for used circuit board on
http://www.ebay.com

Any further help, let me know.
Thanks for using Fixya.
Do rate the solution.
